Founded in 1976 by Larry Litwiniuk, the firm is a family-​run enterprise that adheres to a simple set of principles — service, trust and hard work. Since its inception, Litwiniuk & Company has maintained a focus on Personal Injury Cases, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Catastrophic Loss and Fatality Claims, Insurance Disability Claims, Medical Malpractice, Product Liability and Civil Litigation. The experience the firm has developed in these complicated areas of the law ensures that clients’ needs are served with exceptional skill and efficiency. In addition to their high levels of knowledge and experience, each of the lawyers in the firm also brings finely honed negotiation and advocacy skills to every engagement.

History

Established in 1976.

The ideals and direction Larry Litwiniuk established for the firm more than 30 years ago are embraced by other family members who have become integral members of the team. Since 1980, Larry’s wife, Marianne, has acted as Controller and Office Manager of Litwiniuk & Company, assuming responsibility for accounting, finance, human resources, and general law-​office management. In 1995, Larry and Marianne’s oldest son, Todd, joined the firm as a lawyer, followed by their second son, Fred, in 2003.

Professional Background: Larry received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 1974 and has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1975. Over the past 36 years, he has worked primarily in Personal Injury Law, although he also has experience in Real Estate Law, Juvenile and Criminal Law, Estate Law, Family Law, and Company Law.

Personal Snapshot: Larry has been a community volunteer throughout his life. His volunteer work has included Student Legal Services; Boyle Street, Edmonton; fundraising for communities such as Inglewood, Renfrew, and Chestermere; Calgary Boys Club (past member); major political parties; and school religious tolerance exchange programs.
