I’ve been to this location about a half-dozen times now in the past year or so. Nothing fancy, but one thing that stands out is the fact they bend over backwards to save me money. I see another review from 2010 that complains about the customer service. I would say they have cleaned up their act. I took some coupons in a couple of times, and despite the fact they were expired, they still honoured them. They unfailingly ask me my phone number, realizing that everyone else has a card with a customer-loyalty number.(M&M does too, a little gadget for the key-chain, but even that isn’t unique). I got another coupon just today right on my receipt, and the lady made sure to remind me about it rather than just stuff it in the bag. So basically they have three ways off the top to save you a couple of dollars each time you got in, and they are very diligent at this location about reminding you. That aside, the store is always clean, service is friendly and helpful. Everything is neatly arranged. I like the selection and I’ve never encountered anything out of stock. I suppose labeling on the freezers could be better, but the staff is always happy to help answer questions and find things for you, so it probably isn’t an issue. And, their website can help you look up items in advance. Always good to buy in bulk, and their food is a nice alternative to what is found at the grocery stores.

I was clearly having an all-star week, because as you can see, 3 out of 3 places that I stepped foot into were worthy of 5 star reviews. M & M Meat Shops is no exception. Being a vegetarian, I never saw the appeal of stepping foot inside M & M Meats. A friend of mine convinced me to come in with him and I can honestly tell you that my jaw hit the ground. I was expecting a meat counter and a big butcher dude to ask me what piece of the cow I’d fancy. Boy, was I wrong. I walked in and was greeted by three lovely women who were not only friendly, but helpful. Behind them were HUUUUGE boards listing all the products that they had in-store. Here’s a brief recap: Quiches Pies Cookie Dough Brownies Single Serve Meals Frozen veggies Cheesecakes Kababs Pizza Chinese Food Spanokapita Oktoberfest Sausage Curly Fries Chicken Wings Tiramasu and the lists went on and on. M & M Meat Shops is not only perfect for that bachelor/bachelorette lifestyle of yours, but it’s also perfect for anyone who may not be the greatest cook but is hosting a dinner and looking to impress. They’ve got a bit of everything — scratch that — they’ve got A LOT of everything and I can GUARANTEE if you step foot inside, you will NOT leave empty handed. Check. ‘Em. Out.

I used to love their food but have not been back since their horrible customer service. Oh no not at the store level but from Head Office. I had accumulated a $ 30 reward for my purchases there but missed the deadline for using it(away on vacation for 3 weeks). Head office would not listen to anything and refused to honor my reward. I figure that $ 30 has cost them in excess of $ 2,000 in lost business from me, my two adult kids and about 45 loyal friends who have stopped shopping there.
