History

Established in 2003.

Founded in 1965, the first Martin Equipment John Deere Dealership opened its doors at a two stall service station garage off Argyll Road. During the late 60’s and 70’s, Martin Equipment started on a road to growth by merging with dealerships in local communities, and progressed into 6 main stores. This was made possible with the winning combination of John Deere quality, passionate ownership and our core values of honesty, integrity and always going the extra mile for our clients.

In 2003 a new division of Martin Equipment was born, Martin Motor Sports. Centered on our passion for the recreation industry, the development of the Motor Sports division was based on the understanding that agriculture and recreation share fewer differences than most would think. Just as parts and service are essential to a farmer’s livelihood, they’re vital to the boat owner who wants to enjoy every minute of our precious Canadian summer, or the snowmobile enthusiast who is leaving for the mountains.
