Pet Planet opened it‘s first Store in Calgary in 1996.

Pet Planet Millrise opened in February of 2006.

Franchise Operators Wayne & Annemarie Young have been there since May 2007.

This Pet Planet is located right next to Fish Creek 24 Hour Pet Hospital. It’s got 2−3x more selection than its Douglas Square counterpart, and the lady at the front counter was incredibly helpful and sweet. We were able to find an affordable and sensible pair of walking boots for our new addition, as well as a smart looking sweater. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. I’m one of «those people.» I swear I’m not! But the new guy is from LA and is an 8 lb. peanut that is not used to our Surprise! Snow Dump! weather. And I only put my pug in sweaters when it’s so cold that even his blubber is not insulating enough. So there.
There’s also a self-​serve dog wash in this location. Great for when you, I mean, your dog, gets Starbucks all over itself.

Pet Planet’s great,
I like to shop there lots.
There’s organic treats and poopy tanks and
everything in between.
The people are friendly,
they’re good with special requests.
They have cool things and info too,
so we learn as well as eat!
I love my Grandma Lucy cookies oh so very much,
the blueberry ones are the best —
I share them with one and all.
Pet Planet’s great,
I like to shop there lots.
There’s toys and vitamins, alligator chews and
everything in between.

Millrise Plaza is a Pet Planet Health Store with a self wash salon run by Wayne and Annemarie. Just like any other Pet Planet, it is small and offers quality pet food and other supplies. This particular store is my favourite, it has the friendliest and most knowledgeable employees in Calgary.
