This is one of my favourite beverage stops now. Why? Their baristas are super friendly! The place itself is clean, bright, cheery, and spacious. I usually order a matcha green tea latté to sip while I edit photos or videos. If the noise level gets lively I just put on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. There’s also a drive-through window if you have to get your beverage to go. Their WiFi is free and fast enough for most uses other than large file uploads. I’d give them 5 stars, but they have no recycling program in place.

I don’t typically review large scale coffee chains, but I really like this place. Free wifi? Check Clean washrooms? Check 20 cent discount when you bring your own mug? Check I’m in. My new study spot.

Friendly staff; clean. Selection similar to Starbucks but assortment of food items not as wide. Nice area to sit outside for the 2 – 3 months where this is a viable option.

This is probably the closest coffee shop to my house so I’ve been here a couple times and the staff seem pretty friendly, although one of the times they seemed to be pretty behind so they were rushing around and not paying much attention to their customers. The Nanaimo bar I had was kind of dry and really not as delicious as I was hoping it would be. Oh well. They have a nice little patio which is perfect to sit out and read in the sunshine! They also have free wifi which is always a bonus so you can catch up on emails while waiting to meet a friend!

I don’t visit this Second Cup often but the drive-thru is a nice perk when I’m on my way downtown on the weekends. It’s generally quick as far as drive-thrus go. The parking lot is a little small but generally I don’t see every single space taken. I think in the evenings it may be tougher to park as it shares a lot with Pizza 73 but I’m rarely going for coffee at that time anyhow. It has all the usual products that you’ll find at any Second Cup, although I find they are more often out of certain items or just done get them in, so that can be a little frustrating. The interior of the shop is nice and has ample seating. One oddity is that I find this location is a few pennies more expensive than the location I usually go to downtown. It’s minor, just an observation. Review #25 of Unilocal’s 30 Day Challenge
