yeah, I know it sounds crazy but Brad here was super helpful. Showed me how to use their self-serve machine using those USB to just plug in and print, and voila… but not as easy as it sounds, as he had to navigate through a few screens to get the copies double-sided… and unfortunately, they still charge you per side, and I thought I was being a genius lol. while still a big store, I’ve been to bigger. Convenient location across from the Chinook mall.

Staples has been my go-to for anything to do with printers or office chairs for many years, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. They have great prices for printers, good prices on the office chairs & average for printer ink. About a year ago, I purchased an office chair from them. It was a Serta, which blew me away because I thought Serta only made beds. Problem is that it’s the most comfortable office chair I’ve ever owned and I’ve fallen asleep in it about 37 times. Before that I had purchased a decent chair and I’ve now decided to use them for new printers as they always have a deal on. I just bought one for half price($ 50), free shipping. It is through their online store, but I have every option to deal with the store for the purchase. The staff at this location have been nearly perfect to deal with. I dealt with a man at the mail counter for copies, Purolator etc a couple weeks ago that was absolutely top-notch at his job(Note to Staples: I don’t recall his name, but he had a mustache/beard) and was very helpful and attentive to the multiple people he was dealing with. The lady that sold me my current chair was very nice. Checking on the type of printer that I was going to buy so I could still use the same ink I had in my non-functioning printer, I called the store again. I got through immediately to a man in the technology department and asked if a certain model used the type of ink I had, and without hesitation, he said yes. Knowledge is power. I can build a computer in my sleep, but printers are a pain in my butt. I think they should change their name to Swingline Staples so I can giggle thinking of Office Space when I walk in. Their motto could be «I believe we have your stapler»

Coming here on a weekday to get office supplies means no lines. It also means no service as the staff are busy stocking shelves or helping people in the copy centre, which in my experience is a good thing at Staples. Their staff generally don’t know a ton unless its the location of a product you can’t find on the shelf yourself.

This Staples seems to gets a heck of a lot more traffic than other locations — so I agree that it seems dirtier, etc… I was looking for a very specific file box which seems to not be in the file box section(I know from experience). The first girl I asked brought me to the file box area and basically said what they have is all in this corner. Well, none of the price tags showed the item that I wanted and the girl couldn’t help and so I went looking for it myself elsewhere and found it… but there was none left. So I asked a different person and she was so kind to look in the back for me and found 2 of them! yayy. One was pretty dusty but since there were only 2 left I took it and the lady was soooo nice and wiped it clean for me! Thanks!

Like most people I’ve been to Staples many times to pick the occasional item. I visited this store yesterday and I eventually noticed it had been rearranged. Without paying much attention I entered and went to the aisle I normally go to only to discover the item I wanted wasn’t there. This was a little disorienting and confusing. Now I’m looking around and wandering around looking for the items I want. I must of looked really confused as one of the Staples staff stopped and asked me if I needed assistance, first time this ever happened to me at Staples.

Well, where would a small business owner go if they needed something for their small business? To the Business Depot, of course… So, this wicked(as you know all my ideas are wicked) came into my small business head: I need a stamp! You know, that little red ink stamp so that I can make my documentation look more official. Asked around, was advised to go there. Well, i should have thought twice, since advice came from my ex(Oh boy, here I go again…) I mean, he really wishes me to succeed… So, I come to this little counter and stand there. And stand there. And another 3 mins just standing there. Finally a girl(aren’t they suppose to be at least 16 to work there) comes to me and with eyes wide open(hey, guys, look, there is a human being here!) asks me: «Do you need anything?» Hmmm… I said, yes I did need a new Porsche, new husband and a tiny little red ink stamp for my tiny little business. «Stamp?» — For a minute there I was mute as her question made me think if I was asking too much. «Yes, self-inking stamp». «Oh. Ok». Thank God, we did speak the same language. She turned around and went to the back where a young gentleman was doing something. Something. Because he was just standing there with his back to the counter. I am sure he was thinking about customer service improvements. To make this story a bit shorter: In about 10 minutes, finally having his undivided attention all to myself, I was put in front of a little device with a web camera and was instructed to wait till the rubber stump company rep somewhere in the outer rubber stamp space will start talking to me to take my order. Starring at a blank screen I studied my appearance and came to a conclusion I needed a haircut. 5 minutes went by and there still was no connection. I asked(please note — VERY politely!) if there is another, more time efficient way for me to get the little stamp for my small business. The barking that followed really made me think I should have gone for haircut instead. My time wasted: 38 minutes. My stamp: was made in 1 day at Grand and Toy. Me go back there? No way…

I love dealing with Staples for my work, they have everything you could need and its easy to get. However… going in to this Staples you feel like you have wandered into Night of the Living Dead… the staff are hard to find and when you do they are apathetic and seem to have the life sucked right out of them. I went in looking for a flash card and after getting no help and seeing such limited selection I walked out. This Staples is very much like all the rest, but this one always feels dirty inside, scuffed floors, messy displays and unhappy looking staff. I most likely will continue to shop at staples for some things, but if given the chance will choose a different location.
