A tiny little Starbucks with extremely friendly staff. Generally, I’d just say this is another Starbucks that’s clean and well maintained but the service here deserves special acknowledgement. The staff at this Starbucks always seem to be very friendly and outgoing. It’s much nicer to go to get a coffee and know that you’ll be walking away with a smile as well. Another Starbucks but with a bigger smile.

Ok why is everyone so excited about this Starbucks when the wifi sucks and everything is more expensive than ANY other Starbucks? I dropped in to kill time before a business meeting and wasn’t super pleased to pay $ 2.50 for a cookie that I know, I KNOW is $ 1.90 at my local Sbux. I was staying at the Westin so thankfully I was able to grab the hotel wifi while I hung out here. The café itself is nice and big and the staff was friendly, but ultimately my experience was below what I expect from the Starbucks franchise.

since i couldnt sleep, being working grave yard. its hard for me to have a regular sleep on weekends. so as i lie in my hotel room at 4AM, scanning to the tv channels… couldnt wait to get my salted caramel coffee from starbucks. finally 7AM came around saturday morning, i was so happy… they are open! the female cashier was really friendly cant say the male employee was… which is understandable since its early saturday morning… very quick service, very clean, very homey, christmasy feeling. this is my first time in this location and i love it.

I like to make it my mission to try every Starbucks that are in walking distance to where I live or work! I wanted to like this location… It’s fast, nicely laid out space… but If you come with your laptop(I don’t know if it was just mine) or any device and try to hook up to the Wi-Fi… be warned. The Westin’s Wi-Fi takes over and it won’t allow you to use the free Starbucks one!(Although this could just have been my own error) but I found it to be quite annoying when I got my latte and settled in to realize I can’t even get online! Also, I don’t know if it was because the baristas were just busy and didn’t want to take the time to answer when you ask«good morning, how are you?» haha but when I asked several times at this location they just smile and said what can I get started for you?

This Starbucks is super quick! It’s attached to the Westin and is located in the heart of downtown Calgary. Easy access + lots of staff = my coffee prepared really quickly, which is definitely great! I was in Calgary for business and the speedy service definitely helped. My drink tasted like every other Starbucks drink, which means it’s right on par! The people were friendly and the pastries were fresh! 5 stars from me!

As good as any Starbucks can be. I’ve never spent much time inside, just grabbed a coffee and went. Atmosphere seems nice, coffee is good.

So I spent Valentine’s Day at this hotel. *TOTALLY* not what you think. You KNOW how much I love to explore different coffee joints around town, and it was due time I paid this particular Starbucks a visit. I spent 8 hours a day, for 2 days straight, sitting at this Starbucks. Told ya… not HALF as exciting as a visit to a hotel on Valentine’s day COULD have been ;) I loved the layout of this place. It’s sort of got two sections to it, like it’s a corner Starbucks. The crowd here is awesome. The majority of people are tourists and hotel patrons(go figure) and it was entertaining just sitting back and listening to the multitude of accents around me. The people are super nice — they faithfully watched my stuff at every restroom break — and the drinks are as good as always. So WHY does this place lose a star you ask? Because of their WIFI policy. You can only surf free WIFI for 30 minutes. LAME. If they made it unlimited, I’d be stoppin’ by this place all the time. Until then however, I’m just gonna keep on trekkin’.
