The Audio Spot is a top notch vintage audio gear and repair store that also sells records, and not the other way around. If you’re interested in getting into the world of vinyl, and are looking for the tools to unlock the true sounds embedded in those soulful black plastic disks, check out The Audio Spot.
Why they rock — The selection, and the staff.
When it comes to integrated amps and receivers, all in brand new condition, they’ve got a whole wall of choice (literally), and staff who not only talked me through them, but took the time to hook them up, and gave me the space to listen to a few that I liked back to back.
They’re got a fantastic selection of new and used turntables, and will be my first stop when I’m looking for an upgrade.
Believe it or not, In the record world, it can be downright impossible to find a store with knowledgeable staff, who aren’t condescending, elitist, real world versions of The Simpsons’ «Comic Book Guy». When you find a non-​judgemental store that you feel at home in, hold on to them. You can bet I’ll be back to the Audio Spot.
Pro Tip: If you’re going to impulse buy a 40 lb integrated amp, make sure you brought your car. They’re no fun to lug home on your bicycle. True story.
