Description

Specialties

The Blind Monk is more of a clubhouse than a bar. Customer recognition is ingrained in the staff, so your perfect pint will always be waiting!

History

Established in 2000.

After 7 great years on 4th st. and being very involved in the neighbourhood (especially with Lilac Festival) we made the move to Royal Oak and for the last 3 years have been the pub that everyone knows about. Some minor changes were made, allowing minors til 8 is the biggest, but our customer base has just grown. And then in summer 2010 we opened a store back in the beltline. 12th ave and 8th st will never be the same. We are happy and proud to be a part of the downtown lifestyle again!

Meet the Business Owner

Spyder M.

Business Owner

I started out as the GM of the 4th St pub and have since moved into an ownership role. I take great pride in the company and can often be found in the kitchen helping out, or pouring drinks. I’m also a heck-of-a server and since I have an aversion to pants, my legs are a great draw… okay maybe not. The Blind Monk has taught me a lot about running a bar for the customers, and that is my main focus. If there are any problems, feel free to get a hold of me and we can work out anything!
