Nice shop. Best prices that I’ve found on himalayan salt lamps. I’ve purchased 2 and am happy with them both. Their store if full of knick knacks, gifts, accessories, lots of new age and hippy type of stuff. When I’m wandering eau claire market this is a fave.

Wanderlust boasts a beautiful eclectic selection of things I love to own, especially jewelry, hats and jackets. If you are looking for(or lusting after) a unique piece of jewelry, hat, scarf, wallet, ballet flat, tea pot, wall hanging, leather jacket, pair of jeans, *deep breath* or bag, look no further than Wanderlust. At first glance, it would seem Wanderlust only caters to the hippy in us(the smell of incense also gives this away). Of course, Wanderlust is known for bringing many unique boho-style things from across the globe without the risk of Hepatitis B, so expect to find that here. However, if you dig a little, Wanderlust carries a few household brands known for excellent quality like Matt n’ Nat and DeLux. You will also find high quality leather jackets and footwear alongside motivational wall hangings and Buddha-shaped tea pots; or beautiful, classic jewelry next to gem-encrusted tarantula-shaped cocktail rings. Wanderlust is a store that demands you spend some time with it, not everything is so apparent at first glance. Take it slow, get to know her a little, and she’ll tell you all her best secrets. T.

I checked out Wanderlust earlier today. The best way for me to describe it is as a store that carries a ton of ‘this and that’. I’m talkin’ jewelry, hats, wallets, earrings, skirts, shirts, hanging lights, motivational word hangings, and the list goes on and on. Katie C. is bang on when she describes its clientele as the young hippy/bohemian type. From what I saw, the store does carry a whack of ‘stuff’, and if ‘things and things’ are YOUR thing, well, then this store may just be for you. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

I dissagree with the review of Katie C. Wanderlust does have a huge variety of clothing, so much so they have five clothing racks sitting out in the mall walkway. They are filled with pretty tops and skirts NOT all for hippies. I’m not a hippie and i’ve purchased many things from this store that are practical to even wear to the office. Yes some of it is expensive but they always have sales on their clothing every week. I’m pretty sure that I’ve NEVER been to a store in Canada where I can barter… that’s just a strange thing to do in this country… They have a wide variety of purses, scarves, hats, jewellery, candles, shoes and trinkets. I love going into this store when i’m wandering around at lunch time. They always have something new and exciting to see. They have many sales on all their items and I can always get a good deal when I’m in there. Go check it out for yourself… you will not be dissapointed!

Wanderlust appeals to Calgary’s budding young hippies and bohemians. It is all flowy dresses and wooden jewelry, all covered in the faint scent of incense. They actually have a really great, though pretty small selection of clothing. Lots of airy sundresses and flowy top, everything you would commonly see on a young backpacker. Their selection of wooden, bone and silver jewellry from around the world is a lot bigger, and there is a lot of variation. Back when I used to watch more movies at Eau Claire, we would kill time before or after the show by popping in here. I really loved it, as it wasn’t very expensive and had a lot of pretty things. Then I went to Thailand, and everytime I enter I feel like bartering with the sales ladies because I’m not paying 40 dollars for a shirt that SHOULD cost me 3. FYI: Bargaining is not particularly well received here. Not authentic!!! They are only willing to SELL the hippy lifestyle.
