Very nice bar with a lot of beer options! Service is friendly. Lots of televisions to watch sports and some of the tables even have there own draft spout. A very nice pub.

Out of towner wanting to watch an NHL playoff game while there was a Toronto Raptors game on, I went to 2 bars that wouldn’t change one of their 10TV’s before being Amazingly surprised and totally stoked on this bar! They had tons of different stuff on their many HDTV’s in each direction you could look. And thankfully as soon as I walked in I saw my Sharks playing! I ordered the ribs, they were awesome! And the selection of craft beer was just perfect to have something for everyone! The Bartender was very nice and totally on his game, and the waitresses were beautiful! I will be coming back here next time I’m in town for sure!

Lee and I were staying in the general area, and after quite a bit of hemming and hawing and not really being able to make up our minds between several different venues, we ended up picking this place. Like any other remotely decent place, this place is a madhouse on a Saturday night. The wait was at least 30 minutes, so we settled down to wait. We finally got seated at a hightop in the general area of the bar, which was a little bit packed, and was sort of annoying later on when there was a large group behind me, semi-constantly jostling me. We started off with the poutine, because of course we did. As you know if you read my reviews with any regularity, if there’s something resembling poutine on the menu I will usually order it. I don’t consider myself a poutine expert, but I liked this a lot. Beer selection here is awesome — all local and interesting beers. If you want to try nice micros, this is definitely a place to head to. I really enjoy seeing local businesses working together! So our mains came — Lee got a burger which he enjoyed very much. I had ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and it was a little bit disappointing, all bread and bacon, definitely lacking on the cheese. All in all this is a nice place with decent service. I would definitely go back for more beer and perhaps try something different off of the menu.

Great service and great beer! Food was tasty but a little expensive. What can you expect though it is a higher end place

What we’ve ordered: Martini’s Wanton Nachos, Taco Trio(Fish taco, Pork Belly Taco and Brisket Barbacao Taco) Sweet Potato Fries, Fuzzy Peach Bellini We’ve heard nothing but positive things from our friends about Beertown in Cambridge, so we couldn’t wait to try it for ourselves! The restaurant has majority of the seating intended for 4+ people and was actually quite busy for a Tuesday afternoon. After being greeted at the door, we were seated by the Manager. It was nice to see him participate in this and we later saw him personally checking on the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It was somewhat loud inside but still felt like a secluded spot in our deep booth at the back. The theme is clearly beer, the giant fridge at the back was stocked with dozens of brands we’ve never even heard of before. A sliding ladder the likes of which used in libraries must to be used to reach the top shelves. The lights are re-purposed beer kegs, and there is a tap at every table which we thought was an awesome idea. Some of the TVs could have been better placed in our opinion, some tables have a view of more than 5 at a time while our wall couldn’t see any. Their menu is a sheet of paper on a clipboard. While at first glance it looks like a rather small selection, we were impressed by the unique options available. Disappointingly, there are no pictures but their website offers some nice insight of what to expect. It’s very creative, they understand pairing food ingredients together for some really inspiring choices. This does come at a cost, we found the prices to be somewhat higher than other places. This restaurant is best for groups, bring your friends for a night of drinking and a nice platter of food to share. The selection of beers, wines and the like is comparable to no other. Having the option of any beer on tap right at your table is really innovative. Our waitress had an excellent attitude. She was pretty diligent considering how busy it was. After seeing what we assume was a dumbstruck look on our face when shown the massive drink list, she asked if we had been before. She explained the menu well and gave us enough time to decide without being intrusive. She was surprised that we both were not drinking, who she thought would be driving later was a little concerning, but none the less our drinks were brought out promptly and our food within 5 minutes. Our food arrived very hot, seemingly small portions but the presentation was impressive. Martini’s wanton nachos were really unique, with an interesting Asian inspired twist. Served on a wooden plank, the Brisket Barbacao was the best of the Taco Trio. The meat was absolutely perfect and the sauce brought it to another level. Their tasty Pica de Gallo really made the fish taco perfect, the fish itself was complemented with the unbelievably spicy Cholula sauce. The meat on the pork belly taco was great and the seasoning was suitable but I didn’t particularly like the coleslaw on it(solely personal preference). Sweet potato fries were served very hot and these didn’t disappoint, the tiny dip provided was delicious but not sufficient enough. Their Peach Bellini, although fantastic but for almost $ 9, could’ve had more booze in it. Even though our meals initially looked small, we were quite satisfied when we finished. Beertown is a really interesting place to visit, we were not expecting such a unique place in both the atmosphere and the meal options. It was a rather expensive date night for us but during our meal we could only talk about how great it would be to bring a group of our friends here. It’s embarrassing to say that we visited a place named Beertown and didn’t try any of their beers but now we have some time to research some of the options available for next time. This was a great time with some really special food and drink options, definitely a cool place for young people that we recommend highly. As a preface to this review, I traveled for work to Cambridge from April through November. The restaurants I am reviewing from this area I have been to numerous times, so my review is off of a compilation of trips and not just one experience. Finally! A place with a ton of beers! Beertown is a very fun place. Lots of drinks, good sports bar, usually a nice sized crowd but rarely a wait. We went to this location at least once a week. Pros: — One of the few places with an enormous beer selection. Dozens of beers on tap, and they are always rotating new beers. — Atmosphere is fun and lively(but not quiet, which some people may not like, but I enjoy the energy. While the Blue Jays were in the playoffs the place was packed) — Food is consistent and usually good – Wings are yummy – Spinach and Artichoke is AWESOME – Ribs are delicious – Mac and Cheese is a great comfort food and tastes good – Good burgers, sweet potato fries – Pad Thai was yummy with a little spice – Fish tacos are awesome!!!(although I did not care for the other two types they had) Cons: — Can be loud if you do not like that — Only food I did not enjoy was the salmon(it was overcooked and not very flavorful)

This place is my ideal. Great beer with lots of rotating beers, featuring locals and little known breweries. The menu is a bit small, but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Mac N Cheese and the Brick Blackened Chicken are my absolute faves. And the Chicken club. And fish tacos. OK, I have a lot of favourites here. Amazing servers, too, which always helps. They are always quick with orders and can be very accommodating. We arrived late to a big game and they actually made us room. They go above and beyond here. Love it.

Had a lot of fun at Beertown. Great selection of beer of course. The food was good, service was fast and friendly. Prices were a little on the high side. I was in around 1pm on a Sunday — I sat at a table with a beer tap, there were a few fruit flies and all you can smell is beer. Unless I was out drinking I wouldn’t sit at one again. All in all I would recommend & eat here again.

Nice patio. Good food. Lots of beer choices. Add in the top notch graphic design of their menus and this is an easy high review for me. I came with a friend for dinner. It was that unseasonably warm day in early May. We HAD to sit out on the patio, which does a decent job at pretending it’s not in the middle of a parking lot. Service was super friendly. I ordered a flight of beer, which is a neat way to drink one beer you like and a few you don’t like(but will learn for next time). I ordered the taco trio, which was huge and very tasty. The pork tacos were fantastic, as were the fish tacos(get the grilled rather than the battered, unless you really really like battered fish). The beef was okay. I ordered a salad instead of fries, which was great and not too filling. Good thing because the tacos were very filling. My my friend ordered the wonton chicken nachos or something, which are apparently a big deal at the restaurant’s sister location in Kitchener. They were smothered in cheese, so I couldn’t sneak any, but she absolutely loved them. This place has a really modern, casual feel. I really love the atmosphere. I’d definitely return next time I’m in town.

Wow. This place is amazing! Just had the Chicken Club Sandwich. The Bartender has a great knowledge of the beer they carry. She even told me she was sorry they discontinued my normal draft. It’s staff like that. that keep me coming back!

I ordered they’re hot wings and they were so dry and not at all hot haha. We did get the spinach dip too which was better, overall this place is okay. It’s cool they play sports games and the staff was okay. Nothing special about this place though.

What I like the most about this place is obvious… the awesome selection of beer. It’s a great place to watch a Sunday afternoon football game. It does get pretty loud at night when it gets busy. The food is pretty good, although a bit on the pricey side. The servers could be better. Overall I have enjoyed this restaurant the few times I have been.

All around a great place to hang out. They have a great beer selection, the food is pretty good and service was stellar. Can’t get much better than that. I’ll be heading there again if I’m ever in the neighbourhood and would recommend it with no reservations.

This place was cool! My family brought me here while I was home visiting and Brandon loved it! The idea of sampling all of the beers on tap is amazing! and they have a coaster for every beer to place with the flight so that you know which is which… AWESOME! We all ate here and had a couple drinks too, I ordered the traditional poutine and while I was not impressed it was ok and the service was great. The rest of my family had various items including schnitzel, fish and chips, hamburgers, and mac n cheese and everyone liked their dishes. Brandon was able to try some craft brews he had never had before and the waitress gave us a ton of unique coasters to take home for free.

So there once was a Cubanita from Miami who spent time in Cambridge, Ontario… I’ll continue the story later, however on my journey on a cold Tuesday night we stopped to grab some grub here. Two of my colleagues are from Boston and they wanted wings and beer– and they got them-were they raving about it, probably not but everyone went home happy. Honestly– to me it is an upscale pub(nothing wrong with that). If you judge it based on that– I liked the place! They have a vast beer selection– didn’t have any sooo no comment. We had the poutin and the goat and mozzarella bruschetta and they were both good. My drinks were kinda weak. Its a cool hang out, décor is nice. Will it win culinary awards for its menu– no, but honestly who cares. enjoy the ambiance, 10+ TVs and maybe you’ll make a new friend in Cambridge. Enjoy xoxo, ja
