Indigo Books & Music

In HRM we only have Chapters (which owns Indigo … or is it the other way around?); the only «Indigo» is a little «Indigo Spirit» in Bedford which is basically a baby Chapters with very little selection. So coming to Indigo in Charlottetown is always a treat.
Much like Chapters, you are confronted with a plethora of gift products upon entering. However, they still have plenty of books and I enjoyed browsing the fiction and cookbooks. The layout is similar to but better than Chapters; I actually found the sections I was looking for.
There were staff on the floor to help customers and the store itself was neat, tidy and inviting. The gift section is also in proportion to the rest of the store; ie, it doesn’t take up half of the floor space. A great medium-​sized bookstore.
