First time there and was really happy with the food. Recommended by a friend of my girlfriend and will go again for sure. I was looking for a good burger and was told to try the Prestons burger. Very good the service was good and the prices weren’t bad at all. I will definitely be a repeat customer. There are many things on the menu I’m wanting to try.

I would say this a 3.5 restaurant. Average food for the price. I had their bacon butternut squash risotto. It was very filling but I missed flavor. By the description, I expected a risotto with a fair taste of the butternut squash, but It failed. Except that, the place is very cozy although very empty, it has a lovely view of a lake and the staff was very friendly.

Quite expensive but delicious food and great service. I had the pad Thai(a special) and it was pretty true tasting. My boyfriend had the traditional Canadian sausage and it was amazing. Best part: dessert!

Best service, and great food! Oh, you may have to wait a bit, but when it comes you know the food is fresh, prepared just now, not yesterday, and stored. What else do you need, because this says it all.

It never really hit me since I live in Chilliwack that I should go eat at Hotel restaurant. But women just sometimes make you do things right… So I did! This was a few years ago actually, I just started Unilocaling… I have a lot of spare time these days. Anyway… I got the Mussels and I’m using a capital because it should be the name of the most amazing dish ever! The coconut sauce I think it was… left dreams of seafood dancing in my mouth for the past 3 years. I also saw a guy order a raw steak that he got to cook himself on a hot rock. SOCOOL. Yes expensive, but the value is all there. I don’t even remember the service cause my mouth was full of delicious. I’m sure it was great though! I’d go again!

Nice service, nice atmosphere. Menu items reasonably priced. Too a little while to receive our orders. But when they came, it was good.

Stopped in for a late breakfast here yesterday. Ordered the traditional eggs Benny. Fantastic taste and nice and hot. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes on the side were almost as delicious as the view from my table. The coffee was also very nice. A good dark roast and not that watered down coffee that most restaurants serve. All in all a very nice place to have a meal and take in a nice view. Worth a stop for sure.

Had their Christmas buffet last week. It was simply awful. This is the third year in a row that we have eaten here and have always been pleased. Imagine a Christmas dinner with turkey and they don’t have turkey gravy. The potatoes were the worst I have ever tried to eat. The carved beef was tough. Service was minimal. Hot tea and coffee were cold. OVERPRICED. We will not be returning

Had a mediocre meal at best. with it came poor service and long wait times. We wanted to like it but even a potentially good dish(braised shortribs) came out lukewarm. No server even came around to see how anything was. There was only 1 other table there and I now understand why. Its a nice space with great potential but they have to get the basics right. There are many other places in Chilliwack to get a better meal and I would suggest finding them rather than paying top dollar for mediocrity. This is my first review. it was bad enough for me to create an account and review it.

Aw bro… was so excited for that sweet burger. Even scored some extra cheese! And you know what… too much tang. A burger shouldn’t have that much tang…

I agree with Christine R, Preston’s is by far the nicest place to eat in Chilliwack. The atmosphere has a relaxed upscale vibe, and is a refreshing change from the typical chain restaurants in this town. I’ve been here for brunch and dinner, and both times were excellent. The menu has a nice selection of vegetarian options, and a decent wine list.(Two of the most important things for me!) Lots of meat & seafood too for everyone else. I had the Potato Gnocchi at dinner and the Blueberry Pancakes at breakfast, both meals were fantastic. The service was absolutely flawless each time. Of course I’ll be back.

I had the lamb, cooked to order interesting sides but the sausage in the potato hash was salty enough and yet salted again, ditto the lamb and veg. I prefer to salt my own dishes. Next time a special order and I can go one more star

Hands down the nicest place to eat in Chilliwack. While staying at the Coast Hotel this summer during the Slow Food bike tour, I decided to be adventurous and walk around downtown ‘Wack to see what there was to eat. When I came back to the hotel, footsore, hungry, and unimpressed, I went into Preston’s and immediately wondered why on earth I’d wasted my time. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Coast Chilliwack, and it is beautiful. My favourite part was the patio next to an enormous pond full of lilypads with a fountain in the centre. A turtle even popped up while I was eating dinner, just to say hello perhaps. I had a great big glass of BC white wine from the selection wines-by-the glass(9 oz = ~$ 13) and a creamy and delicious seafood pasta that was generous with the shellfish and salmon, if a bit rich for a summer night’s eatin’ I’m one of those cityfolk types who appreciates sustainable food, local produce, Oceanwise seafood, seasonal eating, all that sort of farm-to-table stuff. The chef at Preston’s really tries to embrace all of that. In fact, he was out at one of the farm tour stops the next day, cooking up Angus beef on the BBQ for a long line of cyclists. Overall, a solid hotel restaurant: good food, nice digs, friendly service — and solo diner friendly.

Fantastic food at the Coast Hotel lobby. Upscale, with great lunch and dinner entrees. Great interior design — just remodeled recently. This urbane gem of a bistro deserves everyone’s attention.
