History

Established in 2006.

StoreSmart Self Storage is proud to serve the communities of Edmonton, St. Albert, Red Deer, Canmore and Cochrane. 100% locally owned and operated, StoreSmart Self Storage offers short or long term storage for residential and business users. Customers will also find a large selection of boxes and moving supplies available for purchase. Most of the company’s locations also offer U-​Haul truck rentals.

In 2007, StoreSmart Self Storage built and opened its first facility in Red Deer, Alberta. The company now owns and operates additional self storage facilities in Canmore, Edmonton and Cochrane.

StoreSmart Self Storage is a proud supporter of its local charities and not-​for-​profits. In 2014, StoreSmart Self Storage announced its $ 1 Move In Pledge. For every move-​in completed in 2014, each of its facilities will donate $ 1 to their local SPCA.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Kanata Developments Inc. is a privately held corporation, operating under the trademark StoreSmart Self Storage.

As a business owner, my goal is to deliver exceptional value to our customers. That’s why every day is about figuring out how our team can make things just a little bit better — in the world of self-​storage that means making things easy and convenient for our customers.

Whether it is broadening our selection of moving supplies to help you pack that one specialty item, or rolling out new tools to pay and manage your account online, we’re on it! That’s also why we offer extended access hours for greater flexibility, and truck and trailer rentals to make your move easier.

I’ve always believed in being an active participant in any endeavor. That’s why StoreSmart proudly supports many organizations in our local communities.
