This is an AWFUL restaurant! The service was crappy and terrible. The waitresses were very disrespectful and careless. They were very rude and unfriendly. Plus they also showed their unwelcoming faces to us. They had the audacity to ask us to pay after we tip them fairly the first time. I WILLNEVERCOMEBACKTOTHISDUMPTHEYCALLEDRESTAURANT!

Hong Kong-style café in Coquitlam offers all the usual suspects. Menu is virtually identical to every other HK-style Café I’ve been to. Pricing is perhaps 50¢-$ 1.00 higher than other places. Waiters and waitresses here were much older, perhaps in their 40’s to 50’s which is somewhat surprising as most other HK-style café’s have much younger employees. Service was prompt and courteous. Food took a while to come out… about 12 – 15 minutes… which is longer than I would expect. I ordered a Japanese deep-fried chicken cutlet and fried egg over rice. Serving size was good, but not generous. They did not drizzle enough sauce. The egg was overcooked for being sunnyside up, making it really rubbery. The meal came with a free hot beverage so I ordered lemon tea. But, I found the free tea to be so much better. Overall, Copa met my expectations, but did not exceed any of them.

This place provides decent HK style food with a large selection of items. Food itself is pretty good but the service here needs a bit of work.

I came to Copa Hong Kong Café for lunch with my parent. It was around 12:30pm. I thought the restaurant must be packed and we had to wait for a long time. But we didn’t have to wait. We were lucky to get a table right away. The menu has a wide variety of food from western fusion styles to Asian ones. I ordered a dish of fried kiteow in Hong Kong style and my mom ordered a dish of assorted meat fried rice vermicelli with spicy shrimp paste from the mini menu. The dishes were not mini at all. We had to pack half of each of our dishes home. The food also came with a drink, so my mom ordered a cup of hot lemon water and I ordered a cup of coffee and milk tea mix(ying yang). The food and drinks tasted great. The prices were 50 cents more than other HK cafes but the portions were bigger. We could use a Copa VIP card to collect points. The service was good. Waitresses and waiters were very efficient and took care of the customers properly. Copa in Coquitlam has been renovated since early summer. The environment and interior design are better than before. Tables are bigger and chairs are more comfortable. I know this branch will have a competition with M Café and Deer Lake Garden HK café that is very close by. Copa needs to maintain a good quality on food and customer service in order to stay competitive with other HK cafes. I would come back for lunch in the near future.

It’s great to get a quick bite. I was happier when it used to have bubble teas.

I came here every time I visit my parents-in-law. I have ordered food good enough for bunch. It didn’t disappointed me every time. HK style food is great but service is so so. We usually come here for excellent breakfast. You can mix and match set breakfast like A+B

Great food. Most defiantly one of the better HK cafes. Fair warning though. If you don’t speak Cantonese don’t bother coming here. They won’t serve you as nicely. Good service if you speak Cantonese. I love their food and the bubble tea. Sooooo gooooood. Chicken wings are awesome. Since it is a HK café, there are some Portuguese and English influences. It’s fusion. But defiantly authentic HK. Lemon tea is the bomb. As for price, it’s a bit pricy, but worth it. Service is as any other good HK café. Efficient. They don’t waste your time by trying to be your friend. Efficient and quick is all you need, ESPECIALLY at a HK café. Simple as that. The menu is fairly large. You know, the norm for HK. Love this place.

went in with group 6 for dinner, services at first was fast and efficient — but it went downhill at least for my order — «baked» red curry seafood, it was wrapped in aluminum foil when it came out, not the same in the menu ! others in the group ordered steak — came out first, chow mein second, tandoori chicken(not tasted like tandoori) third and two other baked also came out, half hour later and many requests to check my order — finally arrived but not hot inside — as well the rice was not hot! ate it anyway because I was with a group, if by myself I would just returned and walked out!!! my $ 14 wasted. Taste wise, it was good but the service –1. on to the other orders in my group, the steak at $ 17 and chow mein $ 15 etc, portions were larger than other HK style café, but so were the prices. final bill for 6, $ 98+ …

I enjoyed the lunch and bubble tea special. It’s really tasty food. Love the noodles there and enough to take home and eat later. The price is fairly good and worth a try with all the selections… sooo many to choose! HK style

I’m here quite often for breakfasts on the weekends and the occasional lunch. Never had an issue with the food. The breakfasts are quite well done. I always order the«A and B» breakfast combo so you can get noodle soup with your greasy breakfast fare. It’s a lovely combo! HK style drinks are how they should be too. The service is ok for me. Maybe it’s because language isn’t as much a barrier for me or I’m a regular.

I went there to meet up with a friend. Despite the rating all four dishes and drinks that we ordered came out decent fast and were good. The staffs were okay typical chinese workers and the atmosphere was of a typical HK café. I would definately come back if I have a chance. It was a good place to chill out since its AC was really cold.

Inside the place might look OK(typical HK-style diner), but this place just can’t be recommended. Rude service(even for a Chinese place), god-awful long wait times for your food, long wait times for service, and finally… expensive for what you get. I don’t know if maybe they wanted to be perceived as more upscale, but it takes more than just dressing your staff up nicer. It’s just sad honestly… Coquitlam needs more decent cafes like Golden Oscar in Vancouver or Allelluia Café in Richmond. Cofa Café just doesn’t cut it. Gosh it’s expensive.

Service is the only good thing at Copa Café because they want your money. HK-style food tastes pretty terrible here in Coquitlam. I doubt the other locations will taste any better. The soup base for the Laksa Hainese Chicken tastes like water. Overall, I would give this place 2⁄5 stars. There’s nothing really special here.

Random Breakfast in Coquitlam Review. I’m not a fan of Copa. I haven’t been a fan since the first time I’ve been here almost 3 years ago and I still don’t like them now. The décor is nice, the parking is convenient, and the location of an hk style café around this part of town is nice; however, thats all the positive things I have to say. I’m probably nitpicking quite a bit here, but I have a huge issue with services when dining in any Asian Café. I’m not a fancy diner, so I’m not expecting to be treated like royalty, but does it hurt to maybe put on a smile at 8 in the morning? Or simply just maybe pay a little more attention when you’re taking orders or bringing out food? The waiters working there that morning just didn’t seem to care. While we’re ordering, they’ll look at some other table while scribbling down our orders and reply with«mhmm». When we asked for 2 bowls to share they took 5 minutes and brought us 1. When we asked if item X can be combined with item Y on the menu they just told us you can do whatever is written on the menu. All that just feels a little rude to me. The food itself was alright. I mean… how badly can you screw up eggs, sausages and noodles? So don’t have much to say about that. It’s a pity there isn’t any other Chinese cafes around this area and Copa is the only restaurant for HK café style food around here because that is also an excuse for them to charge the prices they charge.

Service wasn’t that bad. Food was TERRIBLE. AWFUL. I couldn’t even finish half of my food. It was seafood noodle or something. It was dry, undercooked, and smelled wierd. Also, so mysteriously, some part was burnt. Even though Rating of this restaurant was horribly low, I gave it a try. ‘How bad it could be?’ and what the. This restaurant was the worst place ever. Well, I could say this is the worst restaurant in Canada. If there is zero star, It could be it. So dissapointed.

I think copa has been going down hill since it opened a few years back. Maybe they are taking advantage to the fact that there aren’t much other options in terms of(asian café’s) nearby in the area. Hmm gives me business idea: P They constantly keep changing their menu and their pricing. Heck, i wonder if they still have their late night good deal prices. Service has always been wishy washy. But some personal favorites are: Thai chicken fried rice

Interestingly enough, this location seems to have a more pleasant feel compared to the Vancouver location. I can’t quite put my finger on it but I suspect it’s because it is more spacious. Parking is ample thanks to the restaurant being part of a strip mall. I had the spicy beef«linguine»(but the actual dish uses spaghetti). Oh wow this was good! Steaming hot, with lots of flavour! This one’s a keeper. Service was a bit slow though, probably caused by the spaciousness. We were sitting in an isolated area, and therefore had to flag down the staff or they wouldn’t notice us. Recommended if you are in the area and need a HK-style fixing.
