Dim Sum World

Their frozen dumplings are actually some of the best in all of lower mainland. My girlfriend’s mom in richmond comes to get these (yes from the land of asians. lol!) Some items are mediocre but their dumplings… YES GET THE DUMPLINGS.

Located in the lower floor of Henderson Centre, this small shop sells fresh and frozen dumplings and noodles. While the mall is somewhat sad, people flock here for food, both the restaurants and groceries. It’s around the corner from the supermarket on the bottom floor across from Maxim’s bakery (another not-​to-​miss shop).
At the front of the store, there is a refrigerated display of buns, fresh noodles and rice wraps. I bought some of these noodles and I’m making them tonight with a bit of pork and sui choy. These are not the kind that Hon’s sells – they need to be cooked through and basically double in size. I also bought a couple of rice wraps, which I have not tried but I’m crazy about and trust that they’ll make a wonderful lunch this week.
There are several freezers filled with bags of dumplings of all kinds. I really enjoy the pork and watercress dumplings, just boiled and served in chicken broth or with a bit of pepper and sesame oil. Super yummy.
It may not be worthwhile to go out of your way to Henderson Centre but if you’re nearby, I’d recommend a visit to pick up with easy-​to-​make, healthy food.
