It’s a generous 3 stars, I would rather give it 2.5 or 2 stars. I don’t think the noodles are freshly made, but probably the Wu-Mu medium noodles that you can buy at T&T. The meat was good, tender and seasoned. The 3-spice(ma la) spicy soup I had was a disaster. Too much herbs and oil overwhelmed the soup. I couldn’t really get the flavor of the soup. Get the regular 1-spice noodle soup instead. The salt pepper chicken was poorly made as well, with too much batter and not enough chicken. The restaurant was practically empty on a Friday evening.

We came here for a late dinner. Coquitlam doesn’t have many Taiwanese restaurants like Richmond and Vancouver. This is one of the few. There is a parking right outside the restaurant. It might be harder to find parking during day time as the same complex has different shops, a small supermarket and a few restaurants. It is easier to find parking at night once those shops are closed. The restaurant only got a few tables of customers last night. A couple servers served the customers including us. They were polite and nice. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy. The ambiance was comfortable. I did go to some restaurants with old and dirty furniture. The dirty furniture disgusted me right at the beginning of the meals. We ordered two bowls of beef and tendon with noodles in soup here. One was spicy and the other one was very spicy. They were average. we couldn’t say they were bad but there were better ones out there. We also ordered some Taiwanese popcorn chickens for snacks. These popcorn chickens were baked or fried with bread crumbs? We never had this type of popcorn chicken before but they tasted good. Based on what we ate and experienced at this restaurant last night, it was great. People in this neighbourhood should come here and give it a try. They have bubble tea here as well. Be aware of the closing time. They close at 9pm or 9:30pm on different days.

We love this place. Great service, delicious soup, and the housemade dumplings are to die for. It’s our go to lunch place for cold rainy days.

I find myself eating phở so often, this is a great change of pace. Nice and clean and the beef broth is amazing.

I had one pepper spicy beef soup. Delicious. Don’t expect giant phở portions… It is a good size. If you love spicy you won’t be disappointed. Dumplings are home made and fresh…

Usually you do not find me around these parts, but since we were visiting a friend and we just wolfed down a big dinner we needed somewhere to just chill out and have some bubble tea, yes, us youthful Chinese, instead of finding a bar and sloshing down liquor induced drinks go the safe route at times, drinking cold drinks, some totally caffeinated liquids with some big pellet sized tapioca sized ‘pearls’ that you can fire off like projectiles out of the big straw provided(if you choose) and chat amongst ourselves, while some hip-hop/R & B style Chinese music plays in the background, this is the usual place, and if you have been to any of these sort of places that serve these type of drinks don’t say I didn’t paint you the picture! When we came here on a Thursday, around 7:30PM, this place was dead, as in no one around, you can sit anywhere you want. An odd scene for me, where are the youth, playing outside? Well this is good as these places are great to catch up with people and that is what we did. We sat around, and I think due to this place being not busy, service was slow, we were presented our menu’s and eventually we had to call the person over to order drinks. The consensus for most of us that day is that we wanted ‘pearls’, and they were sold out… what? How do you run out of one of your signature items. OK, well this isn’t going to fly, we just ordered some random drinks off the menu, as the fun of chewing round soft gummy like things wasn’t going to happen tonight. I looked through the menu to see what else was offered, and if I wasn’t stuffed I probably would have picked some sort of appetizer. From what I saw the menu has many Taiwanese treats, appetizers a plenty, some rice and noodle dishes, and then when you get to the drinks, slushies, red and black tea, hot or cold, take your pick. As my first time here I will give this place a pass, if I’m ever in the neighbourhood again I hope that pearls are available, and reading some of the reviews here, I hope to try their food.

Fairly good Taiwanese noodle house with pretty good service. There’s no spicy wonton on the menu, but the steamed dumplings were spot-on. I had Beef rice noodles and while the beef was just a little on the tough side, the noodles were exactly what they should be. So overall not bad, I figure I’ll be back.
Dropped by with my two daughters and we had a delicious meal. I really appreciate the fact that they had no problem splitting chicken«nuggets» with noodle soup for the girls. They also did the same for the bubble tea and even gave us to go cups when te girls couldn’t finish the bubble tea with the meal. Try the pork dumplings because they are awesome.

The most awful beef noodle I have ever had!!! The beef is so tough and no flavor. I will not return again!

Famous for its noodle dishes and bubble tea, I was quite excited to visit this place. I took a quick look at the menu and saw that there were vegetarian noodles in two different forms and knew that was what I was going to order. Low and behold, both the«vegetarian» noodles are actually in chicken broth, leaving my only option as the sesame sauce noodles, I could tell from the shine on menu photo that that they would be drowning in oil and decided to order some plain rice and a few appetizers instead, along with the famous«concrete» smoothie. Spoiler alert: «concrete» is taro green apple. The waiter comes back 5 minutes later to tell us they were out of rice. Yes actually. An Asian restaurant that runs out of rice.. .(I’ll just let that sink in for a few seconds). Note that they also had a number of other rice dishes on the menu. Verdict: The«concrete» was pretty good(it’s huge so definitely one to share) My «veggie spring rolls» were severely lacking in filling The marinated tofu was as expected Won’t be returning again, lest I risk them running out of ice for all their bubble teas. Thought this page needed something from the POV of a snobbish vegetarian ;).

With such a small, quaint location just off a busy street, Ding Hao Noodle House is a great pit stop for a quick bite of Taiwanese favourites and a fancy drink menu if you have a sweet tooth. The chef prides himself on serving quality food that’s worth every value of your hard earned cash. When you enter, you’re greeted by a very cozy and clean venue. With enough seats to accomodate larger groups, you don’t have to worry about not finding a seat. If you’re a first timer here, I recommend ordering the dumplings. Prepared in the house and served fresh, they’re delicious! Fancy a drink? Try«Concrete» with pearls. Don’t ask what’s in it. Just order and savour!

Really good neighborhood Taiwanese place. They serve this awesome beef noodles, authentic(as told by my Taiwanese friends) and handmade dumplings are must haves! Their bubbletea is also verry good… Em. The best textured pearl in my opinion. The portions are generous, the price is comparable, and taste much better than the Richmond’s Pearl Castle and those big places. The pearl is especially soft and chewy, good sized… yum yum yum. My favorite is the oreo smoothie, but sometimes I opt for traditional milk tea too. They closed before 10pm so not a late night joint, it is never full, and/so the service is attentive. I come here once in awhile when I have the cravings for the noodle and the bubbletea.

This is where my Taiwanese relatives go to recapture the tastes and flavours of home! Amazing flavours throughout. The beef noodle soup is meant to be the main event, with tender and flavourful pieces swimming in a fantastically savoury broth amidst full, toothsome lengths of noodle — however, the side dishes make a strong play for center stage. My own personal favourite are the pig ears, which they manage to keep crunchy and light, with just enough heat to keep you coming back. And speaking of heat, try the dumplings in their spicy soup. The dumplings are handmade in house, and I’m sure they’ve channeled whatever secrets their long lost ancestors have left in their care because those dumplings are GOOD. There’s also a big selection of bubble tea which is well prepared and delicious, but nothing that separates them from the other better bubble tea places I’ve tried. But no matter — it’s the savoury dishes that should be the reason you come, and the savoury dishes you should try. And lots of them.
