History

Established in 2009.

Solid State Inspections has been based out of Coquitlam since 2009 and in 2014 opened a second office in Delta to serve our growing client base. All Solid State inspectors have 10 years relevant work history, a bachelors undergraduate degree, are graduates of the Carson Dunlop Home Inspector training program, and are members of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. In addition, all Inspectors are licensed but the Province of BC through the Consumer Protection Branch.

Meet the Business Owner

James B.

Business Owner

James is a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI), a graduate of both the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training Program and the CDW Engineering Commercial Building Inspection Training Program, and holds numerous certificates and diplomas including a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University.

James’ earliest goal was to be an electrician and his first hands-​on construction experience started when he was 18 years old working on major job sites installing outdoor signs and specialty electrical equipment. He rounded out his hands-​on knowledge of construction and developed his passion for homes by buying and renovating a successive number of houses over many years.

James has written 6 books on home inspecting and is published in local newspapers and has been a guest on CKNW in Vancouver.
