I got the seafood platter. It was the smallest meal l ever got in a restaurant; four small shrimp, four small scallops and a small piece of fish. For 13.99 you expect a good sized meal.

This pub is tucked into a strip mall in Burnside. I stopped in for lunch with my dad one Friday for lunch and felt like I had time warped back into the 90’s. This place reminds me of the pubs I used to eat in when I was a child(before 9pm of course). The restaurant has dark Forrest green walls and a separate dining and lounge area. I half expected to see people smoking inside. This spot definitely has a lively boys club atmosphere. On a busy Friday at noon, I was the only girl in the place other than the servers. The place was busy and even though it was still noon on a workday, there were many pitchers of beer going around. As for the food, it’s pub grub, but the prices are reasonable and they seemed to have a lot of daily specials. I went for some classic comfort food — grilled cheese and fries. No fancy grilled cheese here, just the classic, though it was perfectly grilled. The fries were ok, but they could have used another minute in the fryer. This won’t be a regular spot for me, but I wouldn’t mind stopping in again.
