Specialties

Pastries and other wonderful baked goods produced from ingredients produced on our farm. We also sell maple syrup, heritage eggs, shiitake mushrooms and other fresh produce and berries in season.

History

Established in 2009.

We are a small mixed farm located in rural Nova Scotia. We raise heritage america chickens (which produce amazing blue eggs), nubian goats, a variety of fruits and vegetables, shiitake mushrooms and maple syrup. We primarily market these products as amazing pastries brought fresh to the Alderney Landing market every Saturday morning.

On my first trip to the Alderney Landing market, I was delighted to find this unassuming table with no signage at all. I loved chatting with the owner, who took the time to tell me about their philosophy of baking with good (local, when possible) ingredients.
The baked goods look outstanding. They make Kouign Amman, which I’ve not found elsewhere in HRM.
The croissant I bought was pretty much perfect, and the best I’ve found in HRM. Light, crispy, and not much bigger than my hand (in contrast to the doughy monstrosities that are all the rage these days).
