With over 37 years experience, our Instructors make learning fun but never compromise on the importance of strong, technical karate, during the process.

History

Established in 1980.

Creating citizens for over 30 years in Dartmouth, NS. MKTC found its permanent home at 211 Main Street, Dartmouth in February 2001.

Business Owner

Sensei Ron Fagan was the first Atlantic Canadian to compete in the Pan-​American Karate Championships. He has continued uninterupted, full-​time karate training and teaching for over 37 years.

Early in his career, Sensei Fagan was a member and coach for Team NS and member of Team Canada. He also held various Executive positions with the NSKA and the NKA. Sensei Fagan was instrumental in creating karate tournament processes, as well as a fair, mandated belt testing process.

Sensei Fagan is the founder of PK Kata (Practical) and the Teaching Accreditation Program (TAP). For over ten years, he held the position of Chief Technical Director for O’Sensei Masami Tsuruoka (Tsuruoka Federation).

Currently Sensei Ron Fagan is the Chief Technical Director for the International Karate Alliance.
