History

Established in 1992.

Originally opening in the heart of Halifax on Birmingham St., we relocated to Park Lane Mall on Spring Garden rd. where we grew for 17yrs.

You can now find us in our beautiful, street front, sunlit, space in the Trillium on the corner of South Park st. and Brenton Place (extension of Clyde st. and across from Victoria Park) where we expanded to in 2012.

With most of my family in NB, the Maritimes always had a hold on my heart. I spent a lot of time in NB and PEI as a child and as soon as it was time to for university, Dal in Halifax was an easy choice.

I moved to Halifax in 1996 and started working at P’LOVERS. I fell in love with everything from the people, the architecture, the culture and, most importantly, the natural landscape. The East Coast, albeit much colder that I would prefer, was a great place to nurture my love of the ocean as a surfer.

When I graduated from Dal in 2000 I franchised P’LOVERS to Canmore, AB. 2yrs in away was all it took to clarify how much I loved Halifax. So I closed up shop and came home.

In 2004 I moved back to Halifax and never looked back. I came back to P’LOVERS and started a family.

In 2014 Ann and Liz, founders of P’LOVERS and surrogate mothers to me, decided to retire. So I bought the company to ensure that the story continues both for myself, my coworkers, my community and my planet.
