There is a decent selection of food on the menu and the staff are very friendly. However, it seems that even on less busy days in the summer, they are out of stock of certain popular items. Also wait times are often quite long.

I went here recently and I loved the food. I loved the location and the atmosphere. The guy who served us was really friendly and quite funny. I definitely will be back.

Poor quality and expensive. Tried the fish, crab cake, fish tacos and hotdog. All but the hotdog were very poor quality. Fish was dry but had an oily film, batter was terrible, and fish was overlooked. Crab cake tasted awful. Only the hotdog was decent! Save your money. Bring snacks or go elsewhere.

Centennial Beach is one of the places to go to on a warm and sunny day if you have a young family. This café feels a little niche for for when you get hungry when you are here. The hours can be rather«organic» meaning the hours can change depending how busy they are. You won’t get a large meal eating here but it does satisfy your appetite while you are here.

Centennial beach is one of the best places in the lower mainland to spend a sunny day. Just off the beach path at the main entrance is the Centennial Beach Café serving the beach goers. The café offers breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks. Breakfast is served until 11:30 and then the lunch items are served until close. The lunch menu includes salads, noodles, burgers, fish and chips, fish tacos, and more. There are also options for kids on the menu. We rode our bikes along the beach dyke all morning and ended up back at the café for lunch. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, pad Thai noodles, poutine, and kids chicken wrap. Everything was well prepared, fresh, and tasty. The pad Thai was piping hot, and the portion was generous. The pulled pork sandwich was saucy and tangy. Lots of flavour and better than your average sandwich. The kids wrap had a crispy chicken tender, lettuce, and a lightly toasted shell. Poutine was very cheesy with tasty gravy. Really good. Although the prices are not the cheapest, a burger with fries would be over $ 10, the food was good and we didn’t feel ripped off at all. Overall, the café is in a great location and is a great option for a treat while at the beach, or for a meal if you don’t want to pack a picnic lunch.

Let me start by saying my very first job was working in the old concession stand when Pajo’s took over. Yup, I did that. Not to mention I grew up going to the beach and changing in those dank, dirty change rooms. This is a huge upgrade and it is beautiful and(I believe) somewhat sustainably designed. I had noticed that there were a whole lot of people doing a whole lot of nothing with in the kitchen. It being a very open concept you can see everything they do from where you order to where you eat. The food was okay. I remember something being wrong with my friends meal, but it was still edible and I would definitely go back. Maybe I will do the Polar Bear Swim this year!(… or not.)
