The Delta Town & Country Inn

As my wife and I were going to a fundraiser in Ladner, we were doing some drinking so we needed a place to stay for the night. Well the Delta Town & Country Inn was it! We had a standard room with a king-​size bed and a great patio (rare these days). We had a semi view of the pool and the Highway LOL (was not noisy at night). It is what it is, but our room was clean and smelled fine to us and was not stale and musty! The front desk staff were really nice and were accommodating as we initially did not reserve a king size bed, but we just asked when we got there and they said no problem! You are in the middle of bum f*ck nowhere, so what do you want for $ 102 a night!!!(gimme a break other reviewers). Worked for us… didn’t eat at the restaurant. Btw… the bed was great and was $ 12+tip taxi to Ladner

First of all, I would like to clarify that I have never stayed at this hotel. I have eaten breakfast at their Meadows Restaurant and enjoyed it.
My friend and I are both seniors. We had a reservation for the buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Day.
The entrance to the hotel is almost impossible to see at night (after 4:30) and missing it means going through the tunnel and into Richmond (miles of driving) before any correction can even be attempted. I know there is construction going on but someone could erect a better sign?
We arrived a bit early and proceeded to wait behind one group ahead of us. We could not understand what was taking so long to get this one group seated. They were finally seated around 5:45 but we had to continue waiting until after 6 p.m. The lady at the front blamed it on people not leaving but there were clearly many empty tables which had simply not been cleaned.
My friend has back problems and knee surgery and nearly collapsed while waiting. (She would stand in line and then have to sit down and stand again, etc.)
I went to the Town and Country looking forward to a Christmas turkey dinner.
What I received was mashed potatoes that were barely warm and shaped as though someone had lay down on them. I tried to revive them with gravey but…
The sliced turkey was not good texture or taste and even dry though it was sitting in some sort of gravy/​juices.
The brussel sprouts bounced off my knife when I tried to cut them.
The turkey dressing was like mushy glue with no flavour. Awful!
For the very longest time, dessert consisted of cheese cakes (which I cannot eat) and jello. Later chocolate cake was thankfully added but any other choice was limited to cupcakes (which did not taste fresh).
My friend found some solace in the roast beef but I wanted to leave. This was not worth $ 60…but… There was no one to complain to.
In fact for the first hour, there was no service available at our table and it was only around 7 p.m. that I was able to ask someone for coffee (waited a long time for that as well) and much later still, suddenly there was service when another lady and a gentleman both appeared and asked us if we wanted more coffee. None of these were able to deal with any complaint. We were given a card and told to call back later.

I stayed at the Delta Town & Country Inn last night.
The room was $ 102/​night (plus taxes). Parking and WIFI were complementary, though the WIFI cut out a lot and was slow so I used my Internet stick instead. As a head’s up, there is no elevator so you have to carry your bags up the stairs if you are on the second floor.
It is kind of in the country (I could see a tractor on a farm next door from my balcony). The Meadows Restaurant is attached and I had a delicious breakfast there this morning.

eww. rooms are stale and nasty. its an old and run down place. The location is kinda tricky to get to. definitely need a remodel.

Okay at best, steak was okay, OLD style, OLD people, OLD prices

This place is pretty great! The rates aren’t bad, the rooms are clean and the pool/​gym area is nice.
I gave it 4 stars because of the following —
–no elevator (I’m a pregnant lady with a toddler. An elevator would have been a nice touch with all the luggage I arrived with)
–room service only fixed the bathroom/​bed making. I was there for a whole weekend and housekeeping didn’t bother to throw away any trash we left in the room.
–the meadows restaurant was okay. The service was great but the food was just alright.

Best AYCE Sunday Brunch in the GVRD!
This is a locals-​only Ladner landmark, known for it’s all-​you-​can-​eat Sunday brunch. Filled with wedding parties, geriatric gatherings, and kids who are too young to drive (and escape an endless meal with their parents), this place is great for a slow, relaxing meal.
They feature breakfast fixtures including hard-​to-​find eggs benedict, a waffle station, and an omelet station. The lunch/​dinner side usually includes a beef/​chicken/​fish dish. Round it out with all-​you-​can-​drink juices (apple, cranberry, orange, tomato) and fresh pies for dessert!
Be warned — this meal will crush you. I know you’re thinking that you’re a real bad a** who can put away the grub like «Man vs. Food» but rest assured, the Delta Inn brunch will make you go the full 12 rounds!
