Dagwoods subs are by far way better than subway. They are way fresher. You can watch the waiter cut the meat right in front of you. The bread is always soft. I would highly recommend Dagwoods for a sub. It is one of Montréal’s best.

Location: it’s at the centennial plaza on des sources, i picked it out of all the cute little restos around because I wanted something filling and quick but with quality so here they were. The place is not very clean and seems run down throughout the entire strip mall. Interior:As I entered, it was empty and not busy. Better for me hehe. The place is not that big for large groups but its cool to grab a bite and have a seat for around 5 – 10 minutes. You’re not meant to stay there for a long time. Food: mmmm deelicious! I love how LONGGGG the bread is. Hahaha you can fit so much inside. I chose the famous«Dagwood» sandwich it had 3 different kinds of salami and cheese. I added olives lettuce & tomato. With their Dagwood sauce which was great. Absolutely filling! I was amazed how full i was after that 12inch sandwich lol. The only problem is the bread … Its too soft! Not crispy. The oven that they use is meant to bake the stuff on top like the cheese on the meat but it doesn’t toast the bread from the bottom. It’s left soft with that raw feel :( Service: I had a very nice gentleman who explained everything and was super helpful. He served me as much as he could fit in that big a** SANDWICH YUMMMM I will Probably be back when I’m on my way to the west island again xD

I can’t give 5 stars for a meat slicer, bread, and raw veggies, but consider this the strongest 4 star review possible. This is just good, consistent, fresh-tasting food. And I like the $ 5 footlong promotions, but I just can’t bring myself to try the mortadella. The cross-section just looks too creepy for my tastes. I should say, though, that I think that the Dagwoods sauce(original) is worth 5 stars. Yum, yum. yum. Simple, cheap, can’t go wrong.(though I did order the chicken sub once and found that to be very skimpy.)
