Regretting this decision to eat here, old dingy location, needs update and a deep clean. Had the Grandpa burger 3 dry flimsy patties coated in seasoning salt to try to give them a flavour other then dry cardboard. The root beer is the only thing decent in this dying chain.

I think I’ve been eating at A&W since I can remember and have become more conscious of the food I’ve been eating lately. I love chicken burgers, I make them at home all the time. I recently ordered both the grilled and breaded chicken burgers and was very disappointed. Both burgers were 75% bread. The chicken tasted stale and dry, almost like cardboard. I have no reason to order a chicken burger at A&W, or for that matter, any chicken there again.

Not much to say. It was fast, fresh, and wow this is a delicious Mama Burger! Usually when you go into a fast food place you are getting something that’s been sitting in the grill or the warmer for a while. Not the case here. This burger tasted fresh! And so did the ingredients! Nice.

This is one the better A&W locations in the city. They have some good staff that don’t have serious attitudes. The breakfast can be pretty good for a fast food place. The eggs are cracked fresh unlike the fake eggs at other places. They will make them to your preference of scrambled, over easy, sunny-side-up etc. The toast and bacon are decent. Coffee refills are free. There seems to be many regulars that come by and reminisce about the old days at A&W when girls on roller skates served the burgers to the trays on the doors of the old cars.

New A&W thick cut fries are awful My wife and I often drive-thru this A&W location after soccer games. The burgers are always good, I think recently they’ve gotten even better. But A&W changed their fries last month to new«thick cut» style and they are gross. Gummy, soggy, oily potato, yuck! The old fries were crispy and delicious. We love A&W burgers but we have stopped ordering meal-deals because we don’t want the fries any more.

This location of A & W is acceptable. It’s neither good nor is it bad. They got my order right last time. While reasonably clean, the décor is looking tired and could do with being refreshed a bit. All in all, it’s A-OK. Three stars.

Fast food is fast food right? Well. not always. In my opinion A&W is a much better fast food place than all the others. What makes it so awesome? Well, they use real lettuce instead of that shredded green-white crap. A&W uses real iceburg lettuce and all the veggies taste fresh. The burgers are juicy and hot, the sauces are tasty and the orders are usually correct(no one is perfect). The onion rings here are fantastic! They are crunchy and hot and amazing. If you have time to wait, make sure you ask for a fresh batch — it really is worth it. The only things I don’t like about this place are 1) they don’t put ice in their drinks and 2) the prices are a little high. I can suck these two things up for their fresh burgers and crispy onion rings though. Yum!
