Acclaimed! Heating Cooling & Furnace Cleaning

We had an air conditioner installed by the Acclaimed staff and overall the experience was great!
Our sales rep Dan was able to accommodate my unusual schedule and he explained everything clearly and concisely. We were able to schedule an install within a week of deciding to go with Acclaimed, and they showed up when they said they would. I can’t remember the names of the installers, but they were very respectful of our home and were clean and efficient and the installation is very neat and tidy. They had to move the humidifier on our furnace to accommodate the install, and lo and behold, it is actually working now. We have had the humidifier for 10+ years and it has never worked this well.
I have only given 4 stars because our installation was in March and it was to cold for them to turn on the system. Both Dan and the installers assured me they would schedule a follow up appointment to test the air conditioner once the weather warms up. I will likely revisit this review when this occurs and we are sure the air conditioner actually works.

For as much as I would like to give this company a 4 or 5, the sticker shock is keeping me from it.
I will say this, this company was very good at coming when they said they would, though I had to reschedule with them since their Tech was sick the first time he had to come. On this, if I hadn’t been home to take the call, I would have missed it, thus taking time off from work when I didn’t need to in the end for that first call. Melinda was very apologetic and gave me a few days to make a new appointment which was honoured.
We had an ignitor Switch that needed to be replaced. The part cost $ 85.00 but the service call was ½hr at 100 $ and the addition ¼ (yes, 15 minutes), 30 $. Again, I realize that service is costly, however, that the service be almost TWICE the cost of the actual part, well…
If necessary, in an emergency, we will call Acclaimed again for the dependability. However, I will be holding firm on the cost, hoping all will continue to go well with our furnace. Again, this being said, they are a good, solid company and reliable.

Great service! I had my whole house heating ventilation system cleaned. Very professional and detailed cleaning. They also installed a humidifier on my furnace. What a difference. No more static and dryness in the air. House is much more comfortable. I would definitely use this service again. Kevin and his crew are amazing.

I had an extremely positive experience with Acclaimed! for an A/​C unit install. Dan provided me with the quote and was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. At no point did I feel pressured or rushed to make a decision, and he took the time to answer all of my questions and discuss multiple options with me. When I chose to move ahead, he was prompt in booking the install and came out to my home to explain the process. The installer was also professional, clean, and thorough. At the end of the install he also spent time answering some questions I had about my hot water tank. The office team was also pleasant when dealing with payment. I am not always a brand loyal person, but certain brands and companies really stick with me, and Acclaimed! is one of them. I will definitely be using them again in the future, and would happily recommend them.

Furnace problems cured easy, quick, and painlessly. Just call Acclaimed. Who’s acclaiming them? I am.
My wife and I hired Acclaimed to do some basic furnace maintenance for us. We worked with them last year when we needed a pump replaced and we were extremely happy with their work and their professionalism (see Violet P’s review from Dec 2014). It was only natural to ring them up again for a pre-​winter service check and cleaning. Having your furnace conk out on you in the middle of winter sucks donkeys. Never again…
We got the PowerBrush & Whip Duct Cleaning Package for $ 199 which entails a detailed inspection as well as the cleaning of the furnace, water tank, and up to ten air ducts. I was intrigued at the word ‘Whip’ being used in the description. I had this image of Catwoman (the Anne Hathaway version) showing up in shiny black vinyl to clean my furnace while verbally chastising me for not keeping it cleaner and threatening me with the Whip (not sure what she would have done with the PowerBrush).
There was no Catwoman, but Kevin and Mike were nice. No Whips, chastising or black vinyl. They showed up exactly at their appointed time and got right to work. They provided a detailed invoice showing exactly what they did with a specific breakdown of each cost. They initially thought that the ECM would have to replaced as the heater fan wasn’t coming on so a follow-​up appointment was booked.
A week or so later another technician whose name I don’t recall (also not Catwoman) showed up to investigate our fan issue. He was running a little behind schedule which was no problem. The office called us beforehand to let us know that they would have to shift our appointment slightly to the right. We were impressed and thankful that they called to let us know. (Too bad Shaw and Telus wouldn’t have that same decency when you’re waiting around all day for them.) He found the problem with the fan pretty quickly. It was just an issue with corroded terminals on a switch so a new ECM wasn’t needed. I thanked him for troubleshooting the issue so diligently. He could have just gone ahead and replaced the ECM which would have cost $ 1600 plus $ 250-​$ 400 labour. Very impressive service.
Acclaimed are the official furnace guys of the G&P household. If we ever decide to get AC installed for the six weeks out of the year that we experience summer, Acclaimed are hired for that too.

I called for a service technician on a Thursday and they got someone here the following Monday. Since they don’t work weekends, I thought that was pretty fast.
He showed up promptly and went straight to work. Finished in 2 hours.
The first half hour is $ 100.00.
Parts and labour added up to $ 400.00 + tax.
He was polite a courteous.
They say nothing runs like a Trane. We must have gotten a lemon.

We had an issue with our furnace and ATCO came out to have a look. They recommended we get a furnace repair company to come out and fix an issue. I researched and found companies online. All 3 of the ones I contacted had a contact us on their website so I submitted an inquiry. Acclaimed is the only company that contacted me and did so via phone within an hour or so after submitting an inquiry and it was close to 5PM on a Friday. Talk about great service!
I spoke with a friendly person named Alina (not sure of spelling) and she asked about the issue. We booked the appointment for Wednesday but she mentioned that the furnace could still be under warranty and I should check and if it is, I could contact her on Monday if I didn’t need the appointment. I was really impressed with this as this showed me they care about people as I may not need their services and that was ok with them.
It wasn’t under warranty any longer I kept the appointment. They provide a 2 hour window and the technician, Travis, showed up within that window. That’s great so I didn’t have to wait a half day or full day. He looked at the furnace and knew which part needed replacing. He said the part would be ordered and it might be a few days or a week and that the office would contact us. We paid for that visit after and he used an iPad and processed my credit card easily.
It was longer than a week so I called and was informed the part would be in by the end of the day and tomorrow a technician could come install it. Unfortunately, after installation the part made the furnace whistle so the technician said he would need to come back with a new part.
I got an email the next day from Rae with when the technician would be arriving. I wasn’t sure we would be home for the window of time and replied back. I received a phone call later that morning that the tech would arrive between 10 – 12 which was better for us. He came and fixed the issue quickly. He even brought slippers to wear inside and always took off his boots and closed the door. It kept our floors clean! Travis was the same technician every time and he was friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable to fix the issue.
I paid on credit card and the receipt was emailed to me right away.
Would definitely recommend this company for furnace issues. They are friendly, prompt, and provide great service.

I had to wait a couple of weeks for my appointment because I left it late to book. The booking process went smoothly, friendly staff. Accaimed confirmed the appointment a day ahead and the technicians also phoned ahead when they were on their way. The technicans were very friendly and trustworthy. I am not really an expert on furnace cleaning, but I think the guys did a good job. The other nice thing is that Acclaimed appreciates repeat customers. Overall, I was very satisfied and they will likely hear from me when it is time to have my furnace cleaned again.
