This is by far my favourite tattoo shop and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I’m soon heading in for my third tattoo here. Everyone is helpful if you have any questions, concerns, or other comments. You can tell that these are people who are committed to their art and the clients they see. They seem genuinely happy to work with everyone. Michelle is a rockstar! She is such a sweet person to work with. Whether you know what you want or you want her input, she makes sure that in the end, you love your new ink. Her eye for colours and designs is supreme!

I had my nostril pierced here a while ago, and I come in occasionally to check out their jewelry. Kind, friendly, knowledgeable staff. They really know their stuff and they’re always willing to answer questions. I haven’t had a tattoo done here and I don’t know if I will, but I’ve been pierced by Charles and it was a great experience. He is super friendly, and it was my first piercing other than my ears which was nerving, but he was very professional and relaxed. They honestly give the best advice if/when something goes wrong. I called them when dealing with an infection from a different place and they had me come in, and they checked it out and helped me with it. It’s quite pricey but when it comes to body mods it’s honestly worth the price to go somewhere reliable, clean, and professional, and At Needlepoint is a great choice.

So far I have 1 piercings from Charles and 1 tattoo from Jenny from At Needlepoint. First of all I love the location of this place. Being in the mall makes it really convenient to swing by. The staff are all very nice and do their best to make you comfortable. Jenny did a wonderful job of my tattoo. It’s exactly what she wanted. I had to get it touched up after healing but she did it free of charge. Very happy with the outcome. Charles is a great piercer. I have gotten piercings from other locations before and had many problems healing them, but the one piercing I got from him healed very well. He’s the only piercer I will trust now. I have also gone to the shop and asked if he could change the jewelry to a few of my piercings and he did so free of charge(which will cost you at Dragon fx). Overall At Needlepoint is a little pricy but definitely worth it. Great staff and a clean environment.

Jenny is INCREDIBLE. I went to see her a couple of weeks ago for one large tattoo on my upper back, and two small ones on my collarbone in a single session. The consultation: Was excellent. It is mandatory at this studio to have a consultation appointment before booking your tattoo, which I think makes the studio more reputable. Jenny was waiting for ME when I got there for the consult, not the other way around(and I was on time!). I had a pretty vague idea of what I wanted, and my idea was pretty much just piecework of a few tattoos I had seen on the internet. Jenny took my vague, patchy ideas and turned them into a beautiful work of art that was all her own. She does not«copy and paste» other artist’ work, which speaks to her integrity as a tattoo artist. She also did not make any promises she couldn’t keep. One part of my tattoo had too much detail to fit into the small space I had planned for it, and she was very upfront about not being able to do it if I wanted it to last and still look awesome a few years down the road. She figured out where I was willing to be flexible and worked with it to make sure that I got the detail I wanted without cramping the tat too much. The entire consultation took about 15 minutes. The appointment: Was also excellent. Again, Jenny was ready for me when I showed up, and she made sure that I was aware of everything she was doing while prepping to get started with the tattoo. She was also cool with me bringing my boyfriend along for moral support, since I was a bit nervous(I had one horribly painful tattoo experience before, for my first tattoo). The tattoo itself was not painful in the slightest! Only slightly uncomfortable on my collarbone. I was very pleasantly surprised. Jenny has a very light touch and she works at a comfortable speed. She also uses a quieter gun than many artists, which makes the whole experience less intimidating. She kept cheerful conversation going the entire time, and checked in regularly to make sure I was comfortable and doing okay. I made a small change to the tattoo halfway through(added colour where there wasn’t going to be any initially) and she rolled with it happily. She let my boyfriend take pictures periodically to show me the progress, and answered all of my questions(I had a lot!) I was kind of wriggly in the beginning, but she worked with it and there is not a line out of place in that whole tattoo. The Healing Process: Was awesome! Way less terrible than my first tattoo with a different artist. The two on my collarbone didn’t peel at all, and were barely even sore. The one on my back was much larger with more shading and colour, so it did peel, but only for a couple of days. Within 5 days it was totally done with itchiness, peeling, and soreness. The colour so far is still vibrant and awesome, too! I was very pleased with how easy and quick the healing process was. The price: Yes, the price of this studio is slightly higher than most in Edmonton($ 150 per hour). BUTIT’S SOWORTHIT. Seriously, if you’re looking to save money, you will not get the same quality you will at «At Needlepoint». The artists work crazy long hours to have time to tattoo all of their clients, as well as spend time drawing up tattoos for future clients, and the artwork and quality of the supplies used is absolutely amazing. The studio itself is comfortable and well-decorated; it feels very classy and clean. I would pay a higher price here any day, rather than saving money but getting a shoddy tattoo(Which I made the mistake of doing with my first tattoo). Seriously! SPENDTHEMONEY, and WAIT if you have to! It’s worth waiting a few weeks and dishing out a few more dollars to get an amazing piece of artwork permanently put on your skin. Honestly, this is the only place I will ever go to be tattooed again. I will also be coming here for my next piercing. Literally my ONLY complaint is that they only take cash payment, but since they tell you that in advance, it really isn’t a big deal at all. It would be nice to be able to use my credit card and get travel points, though. :D

I really like this place! The staff is a bit quiet but very friendly. Every piercing I’ve gotten there(3) has been very fast, clean and painless. Would definitely recommend :) only downfall is they’re a little bit more expensive than some places, but I’ve seen worse!
