External Affairs Medical Spa

I have been here a couple of times now, specifically for Bioidential Hormone Replacement Therapy.
All the ladies there are absolutely wonderful. They remember your name, why you are there, and make you feel completely comfortable. With extensive medical training, the employees (a lot of them RN’s) answer any and all questions and make you feel beautiful, even if you’re not quite at your very best. You walk in, are greeted with smiles and salutations and offers of coffee/​water/​tea. Marie, the receptionist takes care of all the bookings, faxing of prescriptions, and administrative duties. She’s spot on! My RN, Caren, is amazing. Bubbly, outgoing, and sensitive to my feelings/​needs/​treatments. Even have lots in common with me.
After a FREE consultation, if you choose to go ahead with treatment, you pay a yearly fee. With this, your follow-​up doctors appointments, and even phone inquiries are all included. You can even drop in if need be! Other medical spa’s similar to this charge for the initial consult, PLUS every additional follow up appointment AND any phone consultations.
With two locations, one in North Edmonton, and one in St Albert, lots of clients have been coming for many years, and have seen/​felt huge benefits to treatments.
Dr. Briggs, the BHRT specialist is warm and friendly, and he is very knowledgeable about how the body works, and the most important things to balance yourself and your life. I am excited to be working with External Affairs and can’t wait to see what’s around the corner!

I booked a consult for permanent make up. I met with Diana. As any normal person i was nervous knowing that someone was going to inject colour into my eyelids. After speaking to her i was 100% comfortable and booked the appt. i had my upper eyelids done however i tend to swell so i knew i had to come back for a touch up. Diana was amazing! Once i saw the results i chose to do my eyebrows as well. Wow! What a difference! I also suffer from bad melasma and because of the stellar service i have received i booked some skin treatments. I have to add that i had a horrible experience previously with laser skin treatment. They have doctors and nurses on staff to discuss your treatment plan. Long story short Diana and the staff have been so great! My skin And overall appearance has changed for the better. I recommend this place 1000% from the minute i walked through the door every staff member was so welcoming and I’m happy to say that i will be a forever customer!

Ps: permanent make up does not hurt what so ever they use numbing agents so u barely feel a thing!

If you are looking into getting botox/​juvierderm but are worried about going to a spa and getting it done by nurses as opposed to going to a doctor. DONT BE. This place is fabulous. I got my botox done by Becky. She explained it well and has tons of experience, something like 14 years. She made me completely comfortable and actually convinced me to get less than I wanted which was refreshing. When I booked to get my juiverm done in my lips I tried to book with becky but she was sick that day so they booked me in with Caron. I was nervous because I know she has less experience but again I was amazed at what a wonderful job she did. It looked perfect and she took her time to make sure I was comfortable. Prices are fair and the spa is beautiful. Would 100% recommend anyone go here!

External Affairs — it’s not a government building (like my grandmother thought).
This place is a classy Medical Spa! From a simple brow wax to laser skin treatments, EA has it all. It’s really convenient to have all your beauty stops all in one beautifully decorated building!
I haven’t personally tried any medical procedures but I’ve had manicures, pedicures, brow waxes, massages, gel nails and hair done here. All of these things I’ve been really happy with and are always done very professionally. The prices aren’t too shabby either.
One thing I really love is that the entire salon is stylishly decorated with antique furniture. The nice warm color scheme they use of gold and red is really relaxing. Complimentary cappuccinos, lattes and treats are always offered if you have to wait for your appointment. EA also offers and sells their own brand of nail polishes, beauty creams, vitamins and many other wellness products.
I really adore this place and I’ve gotten many a friend to fall in love with EA too. If you decide and try this place, I guarantee you won’t regret it!
