I went in looking for a particular wine. They did not have it.
I was told they would be happy to order it in for me. It took exactly one week. I received 10% off my order :) It was loaded into my car and I was so grateful.
They offered me a glass of Scotch or Bourbon. How nice! It was a little early for me to start drinking, but I’ll take a rain check.
There is usually a tasting of some sort on a weekly basis. The sandwich board at the front has the details.
Really impressed with the beer selection as well.

They started carrying my favorite BC wine Kismet! I haven’t been able to find it anywhere but Keg N Cork!

Fantastic selection and knowledgeable staff. However, this place gets a two-​star rating from me specifically for their inconsistent and embarrassing behavior towards my girlfriend and I.
We came in to check out their large cooler one hour before close. The sign on the door listed an early close at 7:30 for a tasting, which was understandable. While browsing, one gentleman assisted us and gave some great advice, casually mentioning their impending early close and tasting event. After spending twenty minutes searching the cooler and complimenting their selection, my girlfriend and I were making our final decisions. I was looking for a new wheat beer to try, and another gentleman entered the cooler and strongly indicated that we were taking too long (at 7:22, eight minutes before the tasting event and their advertised EARLY closing). His body language further reinforced this as he gruffly led us to the register, where we made our purchases. It was embarrassing to be carted to the register and shooed out like a nuisance, and we will not likely return, regardless of the selection.
I should mention that the tasting was beginning a full ten minutes earlier than advertised.

The folks at Keg and Cork go out of their way to make sure you find what you are looking for. They have an excellent selection of whiskys and a solid wine selection as well. Their staff know what it takes to make good wine and the intricacies of the different regions. As far as Liquor Stores go, the Keg and Cork has just about everything you’d need.
Once in a while, they have «Tastings». An opportunity to try different spirits or vintages. They bring in excellent people, and great products to try.

Great beer cooler and knowledgeable staff! Wonderful rotating growler taps and awesome new releases. Great focus on Canadian #craftbeer as well as great beer from around the globe.

Second best place to buy bottled beer in Edmonton (selection wise). Best growler station in Edmonton selection and price wise! Hard to just stop for a quick six pack here… Feels like home!

The best liquor store in town? I think so. Let’s start off with their really good collection of wines and spirits. Devine might have a better list of expensive wines, but I find that Keg ‘n Cork carries a great variety of wines from various regions and from affordable price points to expensive.
Their spirits are great and they usually carry the latest of everything. Aviation Gin just entered the Alberta market in first week of May and they had it soon after. Best of all, their website is up-​to-​date with information about new bottles of wines/​spirits/​beers that are now available. People waiting to see their favorite beer come into town can go online and check and see if it’s arrived.
The beer is the best here. Best place in town for beer. A huge beer refrigerator with humungous variety of beers from all over the world, and in particular, a lot of American and Canadian craft brews. Best part, however, is that they now have a growler station. Whenever I’m heading to a potluck party kinda event, I stop at Keg ‘n Cork with my growler (2L beer jug) and fill it up with whatever’s in. The growler station carries 5 taps and keeps rotating. You can fill up an affordable local craft beer for $ 15 or so (sometimes less) or a more expensive special import for roughly $ 20. Even at that price, you’re getting 1.89L of freshly poured, high quality beer which makes it super worth it and very affordable. (comes to about $ 5 – 6 a pint of fresh craft beer).
Finally, they have frequent beer, wine and spirits tasting events. Industry experts explain the flavour profiles and educate you on what to look for, during these tasting sessions. I love tasting sessions and when they cost $ 25 and are educational like this, they really stretch the dollar value.

Wow, am I ever in love with this place! Their main focus is beer. From Craft beer, to Imports to the rare and hard to find. The people who own and work in this store really love ale! They are so helpful, so fun and so focused on helping you find your perfect brew. They have jugs along the back wall where the Kegs are located, so you can try out a draft or two and then take a jug of it home with you — I believe it stays fresh for quite a while too, as long as it is sealed properly.
They have tastings classes and beer nights. Invite beer and liquor reps in for events. A big shout out to the Beer Geeks!
The selection of liquor is also very good as is the wine. Last time I was in they had a table up front of *sale vino! I assume this is to get older stock out of the way/​make room for new vintages. What ever the reason, I love picking up a great bottle and getting a deal!
It is very conveniently located for all of us who live on the South Side. Just off the Whytemud on 99^th before it turns into Parsons Road. My only gripe… Twice I have showed up on a Sunday, forgetting they are closed ;p

Sherbrooke used to be my go to place for beer in the city… but over the past year, it’s been supplanted by Keg N Cork. I can’t walk in this store without leaving with a box of beer. They always have a solid selection of standards and there’s always a few surprises.
And off in the corner, they now have a growler station. I can get fresh beer for home for a reasonable price… now that makes sense. Last October, I was stopping at all the liquor depots in my area looking for a six pack of pumpkin beer for my Thanksgiving Supper and was very disappointed to hear «Pumpkin beer is sold out in the city». I didn’t exactly believe that, but knew it might be difficult to find. A quick phone call to KnC and I find out they not only have pumpkin beer, but on tap.
That leads me to my only problem with this store… it’s a bit out of the way. If it were closer to home, I wouldn’t have even bothered going to my nearby stores for a generic six pack. Still, if that’s my only complaint, they’re doing really good.

As the name suggests you’ll find quite the beer and wine selection here. I found myself visiting for the first time during a beer tasting. Picked-​up a bottle Brooklyn Black Op and a growler of the Brooklyn Brew master special.
Spacious liquor store that knows their stuff. A bit slow in growler pouring, but good beer takes time. Isn’t cheap either. But the selection here is pretty deep. Will look at the wine next time!
Just watch out for possible trains if you are approaching here from 99^th. It always seems like those ones take forever!

Many would say the way to my heart is through delicious food, others that it’s a great cocktail. But really, the way to my big Unilocaly heart is through awesomeness… whether that be food, drink, events or otherwise.
Keg N Cork has won my affection on the drink and event front. I came up for a Brooklyn Brewery tasting last week to find a liquor store filled with all kinds of wine, beers and spirits and taps at the back to fill up your growlers!
On the event front, if you’re headed in for a tasting, it’s not like you’re in for a jam packed liquor store with tastings being passed around. The one I attended was a sold out affair, but it was capped at about 20 people or so (give or take). We all sat at a long table down the centre aisle and got to taste 5 different Brooklyn brews (including the elusive Black Ops!) while the local rep walked us through tasting notes and info about each of the beers. And what’s a beer tasting without some food to compare it against? Platters of crackers, bread, meat, cheese and even a bowlful of chocolate were provided (I’d be lying if I didn’t say I ate a few more chocolates than I did meats or cheeses). At the end of the night, each attendee was granted 10% off their purchase that eve.
Although, if you’ve got the Unilocal app on your phone, Keg N Cork is also running a 10% off your purchase deal if you check in! So, if you’re a Unilocaler, that’s one way to still cash in on the special pricing! At least while they’ve got the deal up anyway!

This is MY liquor store.
It doesn’t have a convenient location. You won’t just find it on a crawl down Jasper, Whyte or 124. Nope. It’s in a weird little strip mall on, I think, 99^th? I only discovered it when my husband «won» a wine tasting at a silent auction for 20 people. So we rounded up our vino-​loving friends and went tasting away.
I was a bit concerned about the whole thing. We were all in our early-​to-​mid twenties and not schooled particularly well in the history of grapes. Sometimes these specialty shops can be a bit snotty about non-​wine-​connoisseurs, y’know?
Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. The staff here were among the warmest and most welcoming around. They were thrilled to have a group of young’uns in their space, eager to learn about wine. A bit of food was provided, and although spit buckets were too, we didn’t really use them.
The wine tasting lasted just over an hour, and then we had time to shop around — with a discount on everything in the store!
It was a very fun evening with friends and something unique — we usually get together to chug beers at the bar, not sample wines somewhere nice. (Even though we did a bit less sampling and a bit more… drinking.)
Even if you’re just swinging by to pick up a bottle to go with that rack of lamb or a Malbec for your friend’s birthday, the staff are very eager to help with anything you might need. Impressed!

Accidentally stumbled onto this store while killing time, waiting for my sister who was visiting an adjacent store in this southside strip mall. Don’t let the location fool you. While it looks common from the outside, once you enter you are in for a treat. I’ve heard from many people that the wine selection here is excellent, but I’m more of a beer guy — and this place has so many to choose from. Every time I’m here, I make the mistake of thinking I’m just going to grab a few sample cans for the evening and pass up a basket, but always have to run back and grab one once I start viewing the shelves. This place is perfect if you want to try a variety of beers/​ales/​pilsners/​what-​have-​you from around the world. I love a liquor store that sales individual cans at a fair price so that I can always find something new to try out without having to invest in a entire case. With those hot summer days coming, I’ll be hitting the Keg N Cork quite often to expand my beverage experience.

A gem in south Edmonton. When so many liquor stores are just average, boring clones of themselves, it’s great to see someone find a niche and deliver great service.
This is a beer lover’s dream come true. Great selection of craft brews from Canada and around the world. And the wine selection is quite impressive as well. If the owner Lionel is in, then you’re about to get the most knowledgeable, friendly service you could ask for.

Although it is in the middle of nowhere, it is definitely worth the trip.
A large selection of wines and spirits but catering towards the mid to high end of product lines. A very nice scotch selection with quite a few I don’t see very often.
They claim to have the best selection of beers in the south end, with the north going to Sherbrooke. This is probably true, it is impressive. With a focus on Canadian craft breweries. Well laid out and to be honest sometimes too much selection can intimidate or annoy, I think they have just enough for everyone without it being overwhelming.
Their prices are a bit high, 10% more than I have seen elsewhere but with a nice shop and selection I don’t mind paying a premium.

I learnt of this place at the Taste of Edmonton last summer. Their selection of value wines was memorable, especially considering the sub par wine tasting conditions involving those little plastic mock glasses and a hot, non air-​conditioned tent.
During the festival, I discovered one Cab so good I googled the store location to find it. I was pleased to learn this midsized liquor store is conveniently located on 99^th street (and on my way back home from South Edmonton Common). Tucked in a large strip mall of miscellaneous stores, the plain white sign can be easily missed if you’re not paying attention. Although I must give them credit on the name — clever enough not to be easily forgotten.
And so I remembered the store again, this time on a cold Saturday afternoon. I found myself the only customer in the store, with a middle-​aged gentleman greeting me right away. I told him I needed a cooking wine that was good enough to drink off with my puff pastry chicken pot pies — a dry, full bodied white. Naturally, he suggested a couple of oaked American chardonnays, one in the $ 15 range and the other in the $ 20. I went cheaper, but (really) should have known better — good chardonnays cost. It was not «buttery» enough of a match for my puff pastry, but a decent value nonetheless. And isn’t value all that a buyer can really ask for? It’s when a $ 20 bottle tastes like it should have cost $ 12 instead — that’s when one has a problem.
This time, like during my previous visits, the customer service was very good. So when the sales clerk asked if I needed anything else, I admitted I could use a couple of reds in the $ 20 range to replenish my depleted, post-​holiday stocks. I confessed I was drinking a lot of Malbecs lately, and he poured me a generous glass of a Malbec blend he had going at the tasting bar. The wine, an incredible value at $ 11 (called Fuzion, by the way) was a well blended Shiraz-​Malbec. And I thought the only thing a person could get in that price range Boon’s! Not that I drink Boon’s; I haven’t had any of that stuff since that camping trip in high school… I also ended up getting another Argentinean Malbec he recommended, but since it hasn’t been corked yet, I cannot report if it’s worth its price.
He packed my three wines into a snazzy Keg’n’Cork tote bag — a complimentary gift «to get me into the store more often», he said. A smart customer service move — it worked. I will stop by to stock up on my value wines, whenever I take that route back home from South Edmonton Common.
And for those of you that are not value wine drinkers, and prefer something both a little stronger and a little more expensive, they carry a good selection of scotch. Some are of collector price range at hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Maybe that’s the kind of scotch that could make me a convert. Or not! I’m sure I would enjoy a $ 1200 bottle of Malbec too…
