Marshall Boxing Club

Wow! What a workout! This place had me sweating so much that people in my class were coming up to me and suggesting workout wear options that help whisk away sweat! It wasn’t because of what I wearing it was because I was so amped up!
The trainers are so motivating! I really felt like a female Rocky ready to punch out a frozen beef torso! I enjoyed the circuit training because I felt like I could really go for it!
I would love to go on a more regular basis because the day afterwards I was suuuuper sore but like in s hurt-​so-​good type of way!

Wowza! If only this boxing club were located in a more central or more transit accessible place, because if that were the case I’d totally look into taking classes! I was really impressed with both the pacing of the class and the instruction style. I had a lot of fun, especially with the circuit training and with the opportunity we had to punch the instructor at the end of our trial class!
The instruction was great — there were lots of people to help us out when we had issues or needed additional instruction or have questions answered. The gym itself looked like it got a fair bit of use — with a variety of actual boxing equipment and real boxing gloves. This wasn’t just a fitness class or kickboxing — this was actual boxing technique work with drills and exercises. I really had a lot of fun!
Regardless it is a really great place to visit, and an enjoyable workout overall. And now I can say I’ve tried boxing!

Really enjoyed my first class at Marshall Boxing Club. the staff showed some basic techniques that really brought out the inner fighter. I enjoyed that at the end of class I was exhausted but during class I was having such a good time it did not matter.
i would recomend this gym if you are looking to try something new and have some fun while you are doing that!

This was my first ever time doing any kind of boxing and I will definitely be back.
This place was kind of hidden from plain view, but as are most hidden gems.
The instructor was Marc and he had help from Matt and Ben. All of the staff were awesome. They made it such an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was really welcoming too and they had awesome tunes playing for you to box to.
For me, it felt like a great outlet, to both let out some aggression and get a killer work out in too.
They taught us some really solid fundamentals to boxing that would legit help in a real fight. We also blazed through a circuit of kicking butt that kicked my butt.
It was an awesome experience and will definitely be coming back! Thanks guys!

I had a blast today working out. Such a positive environment. The instructors provided great feedback, and we’re very encouraging. I loved the circuit training, kept it interesting and always changing. Great way to start the weekend!

Great time at Marshall today! Learned a lot and the guys were great to work with. Matt was a great instructor and they even worked around my wrist injury.

Marshall Boxing Club is tucked away just off St. Albert Trail a few blocks north of the Yellowhead.
I knew that it was going to be a great workout from the moment Matt introduced himself to us. He was the perfect mix of welcoming and kick-​ass tough!
Marc & Ben assisted with our group exercises and made everything easy to understand but still crazy hard!
The facility itself is narrow and long with an entry way and then 2 change rooms and a double long workout space.
We did circuit training boxing activities today on 1 minute intervals — enough to kick your ass but not enough to scare the beginner away.
Matt offers drop in classes M, T, Th from 6−8pm and your first class is free — what do you have to lose? Well, about a bucket of sweat to be precise! But oh so much to gain, starting with confidence and ending in strength.
Marshall Boxing, I can’t wait to come back again!

Holy moly, boxing is WAY harder than it looks!!! However, it’s super fun and a fantastic workout; I’m sure I am going to be crazy sore tomorrow.
Matt, Marc & Ben were excellent teachers who were very supportive and encouraging. You can tell they are super passionate about their sport. Matt has developed a really great environment and workout for boxing enthusiasts of all ages, abilities and boxing expertise.
Today’s 1 hour workout through Unilocal Fit Club was intense, but super rejuvenating and stress relieving! I have fallen in love with boxing. Thanks Matt & team!
