Millano Bags & Baggage

Millano has a wide selection, especially for such a small store. Even for ubiquitous items like suitcases or travel toiletry bags they have unique styles and patterns available. Most of their merchandise looks expensive — well made, robust fabric, clean seams, tasteful, and so on. Of course, with a wide selection there are also some, ahem, less tasteful options as well. (I guess there’s something for everyone, but I find some of their merchandise really tacky! It’s still well made, though.)
I’ve used many of their bags /​luggage for years now and have had no problems. The construction of everything I’ve bought is great.
They also have fantastic prices. When I was looking for a luggage set a few years ago I went all over the city comparing styles, prices, and quality, and I should have just went to Millano first and saved myself the headache! They always have great sales, so even the items that seem a bit expensive are often affordable.
The staff are always pleasant and attentive, and will even go on a wild goose chase through the store finding me something that fits into my (sometimes very specific) criteria.
One major plus for me is that this store is close to home. Though I consider that a bonus, not the cause for my visits.
Note, though, that their return policy is not great — around Christmas I bought a gift for my mom (a new purse) and I did not get a gift receipt. I bought it in December, and stated that the purse was a gift, but did not explicitly request a gift receipt. Their regular return policy allowed for exchange within 15 days I believe (it might have been 10, actually, I can’t remember), but regardless it was nowhere near the 30 days most places offer. My mom had to open her gift early which was kinda eh. She did love the purse, though, so it was not necessary to return it.
Millano is a unique and cool store if you’re shopping for luggage or a new purse or wallet!
