What a nightmare! This place has to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do NOT put your health in their hands. They clearly are in it for the money and not to take care of the customer. They pull the whole bait and switch if you have a groupon they won’t let you book for three months. Who does that?! They said they have only two stations and they are fully booked for 8 hours a day everyday for the next three months. You have to be kidding me… There are so many places in Edmonton to get your self pampered, don’t waste your time here.

I have a kudo and a criticism. Book with Lauren — she’s great! Groupon and Living Social may have done well for the company, but not so good for the consumer. They’ve sold so many ‘deals’ that they are booking 3 plus months out. I bought 2 $ 100 gift certificates for friends and they can’t use them because every time they figure out their schedule to come to Edmonton, Mist is fully booked. I’m not impressed. I also have a Groupon that I’m having trouble using because my calendar can’t be planned 3 – 4 months out. Not a ‘deal’ at all. Sandy

After my stylist moved to Vancouver a few years ago, I’ve been looking for The One. I’m still searching for that ultimate stylist, but in the meantime, I’ve found Mist. There’s so many pros for me — they’re conveniently located in Bonnie Doon Centre just off the food court, it’s easy to get an appointment(I’m a last minute hair person — one day it’s fine and the next I need it cut NOW!!!, lol), the staff is always friendly, and I feel they have great prices($ 35ish to cut my hair). My only challenge is that I’ve now seen four different stylists. My first stylist was awesome and I saw her three of four times before she moved out of the country. I then saw another girl twice before she left Mist. And then the girl I saw last time is no longer there when I called for an appointment this past Saturday. So I saw another new stylist for my hair cut last weekend. But I can’t complain — I’ve been happy with all of the cuts and also product that I’ve taken home as per their recommendations!

I came here with a LivingSocial deal for a Mist Spa Pedicure. Lauren did a wonderful job on my pedicure. The polish was perfectly applied and the massage was heavenly. The receptionist was very friendly and attentive. There was no wait time whatsoever. I must have been the last appointment of the day but I did not feel rushed at all. The attention to detail was amazing. Kudos, Lauren!!! You are a great Esthetician.

When I moved to the Bonnie Doon area I had a trial and error phase of finding a place to get my haircut. Luckily I stumbled upon this gem in Bonnie Doon Mall. I have gotten my hair cut and styled here several times now and I never leave disappointed. Normally to express what I want for a haircut I always bring in a photo. The staff here are always able to give me exactly what I want. However, the only negative things I have to say is that the staff can be rather pushy when trying to sell you product. Yes I know it’s better quality than my grocery store shampoo but, do I care? Nope. Also, when I tell the stylist’s when I had my last haircut I usually get rather odd looks. I only get a haircut about every six months because I am a wash and wear sort of person. I don’t style my hair or blow dry it. I wash it regularly and brush it. End of story. But, even though this is my routine I always get compliments on how healthy my hair looks and feels from this place. The staff know how to flatter and make my hair look good.

Maybe this is not the best place for a haircut; in my case a bang trim. My experience was a pivotal FML moment. Now, I am just hoping some weird mustard powder remedy will help my bangs grow fast before my wedding in spring. Here’s how my bang trim went on New Year’s Eve. Mine was a walk-in service. Normally, with bangs, my hair needs to be straightened before cutting them. My bangs usually fringe about my eyebrows and are parted sideways. Here’s what she did: lined the scissors’ blades diagonally(at a 45° angle) and cut my bangs sideways, which starts super short — much shorter than I had wanted. Charged me $ 6 and that was it. I tried to get the hairstylist to fix it but she was very reluctant and suggested that what I usually want LOOKSSILLY. Now, I end up with a hair cut that isn’t office appropriate. My bangs stand up like a sideway cockerel’s crown. If haircuts can make a girl cry, this salon would be it.

I had a groupon for a pedicure for this salon. Stephanie was my esthetician and she was excellent. I had a time limit(I had to be somewhere in 1.5 hours) and she was great at making sure I was taken care of within my time frame. My toes look great, and I felt well taken care of!

4⁄5 for the mani pedi that I thoroughly enjoyed. 0⁄5 for the short notice to inform me that my appointment booked well in advance was no longer available. I could either cancel all together or come in a day early?! 5⁄5 for Chantel’s perfect polish application 4⁄5 for line of product. No comments on other services offered. Groupon;s done well on showcasing this business. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality express mani pedi combo. Truth be told, I was skeptical before waltzing into this salon for the first time, especially after reading a few reviews here. Then Chantel shook my hands and she worked magic on my nails. The mani/pedi treatment product line was fine, a bit dry for my skin’s liking. However, Chantel does a perfect polish after some quick filing & shaping. I’m still admiring my nails with no crease, no cracks, full vibrant color and no chips after 1 full week of wear & tear. As much as I’d like to highlight my experience, Chantel deserves 95% of the credit. Note for pair bookings, they only have mani pedi seating for two. If you plan on going with a friend, inform them at booking! This is one of those salon where a particular aesthetician keeps me coming back, not necessary the salon.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for the last few years. I found a great stylist here then she left but I kept going. I almost always get a great cut & style which is modern. The prices are reasonable($ 35 for ladies) and the end result is as good as any over-priced high-end salon.
