Enjoyed. The customer service was great. The sweetest lady served us and took great care of us, every time she walked past she was sure to ask if we were okay. Parking is easy and very accessible. When we arrived there was no one else there so we had our choice– we went on a Wednesday night at almost 6pm. Only a few other people came in that night so it was nice and quiet. We ordered the seafood and mixed vegi’s as well as a vermicelli bowl. Both were good. Definitely recommend the vermicelli bowl. The food arrived hot and quite fast. Steamed rice was also readily available and you could order as many as you liked. A nice touch. The menu was vast– I’m sure there would be something for everyone. A nice local place to go.

Rice King has been around for long time but ‘Noodle House’ is recent within the last couple of years give or take. They’re close to home, I’ve ordered Chinese from them in the past — and no complaints that I can recall with the food just not my regular ‘go-to’ place(we all have one right?) Several few weeks ago Hubby and I decided to check out their Phở and were very impressed; it was actually pretty freaking good. The broth was flavourful and I couldn’t finish the ‘small bowl’. Although I remain loyal to my #1 Phở place it’s nice to know a solid contender is within walking distance. I have since gone back for take-out Phở and was not disappointed. Would have given an extra star due to the unfortunate lack of service. During our visit, the party next to us waited so long they had leave and request it ‘to go’ — and our order did take a painfully long time to arrive. A week ago I tried to call in an order and was surprised that no-one answered the phone — I received a call later(thanks to call-display) but it was too late… by that time the window of opportunity was closed I already placed my order somewhere else. Not a deal-breaker, the Phở was good enough to convince me not to turn my back on Rice King — at least not yet…

I just moved into the neighbourhood, and as me and my fiancé like Asian food, we thought we’d try this place out. The place itself is pretty bare-bones; there are a few tables, a few things to decorate the place, and a TV which had a hockey game on. The food was quite good on the whole :) You know that complimentary green tea you get at a lot of places? It was really really good here. Like, one of the better green teas I’ve had, which is saying something cos I’ve tried my share of teas: P We got some green onion cakes, which were quite tasty & not too greasy. For our mains, my guy got… I can’t remember the name of it, some kind of spicy lamb soup, and it was really yummy. Just don’t get my dish– the pineapple chicken– cos it was basically just fried chicken with that orange sauce you always see at Chinese restaurants all over it. I mean, it wasn’t really bad(luckily I like that orange sauce), but I wouldn’t order it again. The soup was quite good, though. Oh, and also, I’m super happy cos I tried the bubble tea there, and it’s pretty good! It’s not a main part of the restaurant, so they only have a few flavours, but I wasn’t disappointed. Now I live within walking distance of a good bubble tea place… I’m in trouble, lol. But yeah, on the whole I’d say it was pretty good food, reasonably priced, with fairly good service. I’d eat there again.

I like this place. It is always very clean and friendly. Fast. always fresh. I have only tried their spring rolls and phở, but I enjoy both of those dishes at Rice King! I will frequent this place for lunch.
