Kingsway Optometry provides comprehensive eye care for the whole family. They offer convenient evening and weekend appointments and walkins are always welcome.

Services include: eye exams (adults /​seniors /​children), contact lenses, emergency visits, dry eye treatments, general visual concerns, and surgical referrals. Our doctors have therapeutic licenses and are able to prescribe prescription medications, along with treating patients for diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

Insurance:

Children (0 – 18): Are covered under Alberta Health Care for an annual eye examination.

Seniors (65+): Are covered under Alberta Health Care for an annual eye examination

Adults (19 – 64): We are now able to direct bill Alberta Blue Cross, Indian Affairs, Social Services, & AISH. For other insurance plans, please contact our office. Alberta Health Care covers all adults for most medically based emergencies along with diabetic eye health exams.

History

Established in 2003.

Dr. Ross McKenzie began practice in Kingsway Mall in 2003, after graduating from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. He completed his internships at: Hickham Airforce Base, Hawaii, Norton Sound Health Clinic, Nome Alaska, eyes of Arizona, Lake Havasu Arizona, Pediatric Strabismus Rehabilitation Centre, Portland Oregon.
