Roto-Rooter

My laundry room floor drain backed up. Help! Called Roto-​Rooter. John came out immediately, in spite of snowy road conditions. Now that’s service! Before I knew it, the problem was solved. Drain was unplugged and flowing freely. Yay! I would definitely recommend this company.

*These guys have been doing it for years, they know all the possible problems inside-​out and have the tools to get it done quickly and with no mess. Roto-​rooter invented the rotary-​cutting-​snake back in the 1930s and are leading-​edge now– other companies likely do not have their tools and technology. Darren, the tech we were lucky to get, is the Guru of the company, with over 30 years experience. As well, we got the seniors rate of $ 155 plus tax, which was guaranteed, and very reasonable considering the travel time, tools and expertise. The BEST, and highly recommended!

Roto-​Rooter has saved the day again in my 70 year old house. The first time I had them out was when I first purchased the home in 2013. They were able to quickly scope and grind out many years’ of offending tree roots, clogs, you name it. The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained things in terms we could understand.
Did I mention they were able to come fix our problem within an hour of calling?
More recently, I have had to call out a plumbing company because my (now evicted) tenants had poured fats/​oils/​grease/​PAPER TOWEL/​you name it down my drains and have caused my main floor drain to back up grey water from upstairs, flooding my basement, one sink full at a time.
Accidentally I called Mr. Rooter, thinking they were the company I had previously had out. Needless to say they misdiagnosed the problem, charged me for removing hair and a foreign body from proximal drains (NOT what I had asked), and again, my basement is flooding. (See my review for Mr. Rooter on Unilocal for the whole story.) What. A. Nightmare.
Today I called Roto-​Rooter, to have them come FIX the problem. The woman on the phone was very friendly and seemed knowledgable. They will be out this week; I can’t wait to have this all behind me. I have the utmost confidence in Roto-​Rooter.

We had a buildup of roots in our sewer drain that was restricting flow. I called Roto-​Rooter and they were available to come out the same day. They snaked out all the roots and everything is working great again! They booked an appointment between 8-​noon and were here by 9:30. It cost $ 265 which was slightly lower than average to have this work done. A small price to pay for something I don’t want to deal with. I could have gone cheaper, but decided to go with the trusted name.
