Good prices, great selection, nice staff. So far this is the only place I can find ground turkey breast which is a nice treat. Having those things makes a customer come back.

I used to shop at this Safeway a few times a week but it’s been a while since I stepped into the store. It was after work hours so it was pretty busy with people picking up groceries or their hot food for dinner. The store is big and somewhat spacious so I don’t feel it’s too crowded when busy. I find the shelves are stocked and I have never had a problem with finding items I was looking for. The bakery can run out of the self serve buns later in the day but they have the packaged ones. I came looking for some specific items and happy to find they were on sale. The sales were good but the regular price is expensive so good to check out the flyer and sign up for the weekly email where they send you the 3 day specials for the week. They often have the spend $ 100 and get 100 Airmiles during the weekend. There’s always enough tills open so the wait at the check out isn’t long. The service is friendly and fast. There’s also a BMOATM in the store if needed. I’ll certainly be back if I’m in the area.

Time and time again I have given the hot buffet a 2nd chance — enough. The person in charge of making the food for this, should be ashamed of themselves. Ranging from bland/tasteless to undercooked/overcooked, tasting of cleaning chemicals, etc. Is there no quality control?

No Safeway is a cheap place to shop, but it is the closest grocery store to where I live. The thing is, you have to know how to shop at Safeway. Look for flyer specials and get yourself a club card since the savings you will get can put a pricey item into cheap territory. I’ve never had trouble finding what I need and the stores layout makes sense. The service at the Deli can be a little spotty but the quality makes it worth it. Also, unlike other places, they actually have staff at their tills so you won’t spend forever in line. Parking is never a problem and I like that their carts are only a quarter instead of a dollar.

I don’t do my grocery shopping here as it is nowhere near my house, but it is near my workplace. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to pick up some flowers and was really, very impressed with their selection. The Safeway by my house has a little flower area with a few varieties to choose from, so I wasn’t expecting basically an entire flower shop inside of a grocery store. I chose two bouquets that I thought went well together. When I went to the flower counter to pay I asked Karen if she could put them together for me into one. She did this for me happily, and even arranged them nicely and took her time, chatting with me as she went. I was so impressed that I went back today after work when I just wanted to buy some flowers for myself. The prices are quite good as well. Their parking lot is big and I’ve always been able to park fairly close to the door. Bonus.

Lots of available parking, pretty clean, and usually well stocked. It’s Safeway so prices are usually high unless you buy what’s in the flyer.

When I walked in I was disappointed at the fact that I didn’t have 25c to get the carts. I guess it all depends on the area to avoid theft right? Anyway I walked in and it reminded me of LA over again. Of course in LA it’s the Von’s chain. It’s all the same set up. Very clean inside and friendly people. Then to top it off, my old Vons card was transferable and I could get some of those club card deals that I once enjoyed. So that will be my grocer of choice from now on.

I love this Safeway location. The store is stocked from top to bottom; it is easy to navigate; there is a nut bar close to the back of the store where you can buy ridiculously expensive yet amazingly delicious nuts(macadamia nuts dusted with the mix of sugar and cinnamon are so good); and there is a Starbucks inside. There is always an ample selection of fresh produce, meat and fish. The bakery offers everything from bread and cookies to cakes that look good enough to serve at a birthday party. Prices for baked goods are lower than at specialized stores and bakeries. I also really like this particular Safe-Way’s flower section. I have never seen any sad looking flowers for sale here; they are always fresh and vibrant. The ladies who work at the flower shop are very helpful, and fulfill your order in a timely manner. There are newly added self-checkout counters which are extremely convenient.

There are times when I choose to trek the extra few blocks and load up on groceries at this particular Safeway, despite the walk home leaving me exhausted and with plastic-bag indents along my arms. Why? They just have way more, and way better stuff than the nearby Save-On: a heavenly-scented bakery well-stocked with delicacies, a nut bar that grinds fresh nut butters, a large selection of ethic groceries, an antipasto bar, and an array of expensive designer cookware. Of course, it can get a little overwhelming(especially when you’ve worked up an appetite on the walk over), but if you’ve got some cash to burn and some time to browse, this Safeway can make a surprisingly fun grocery shopping trip.
