Very clean an great service/food. I eat a lot of Phở and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. The combos were the best deal. You can get wonton soup, beef and chicken with rice for 13.00 dollars! Oh and will spring rolls, it was so fresh. I loved every bite. Not in a great area, but don’t let that deter you. I will continue to support this place, due to the service and food.

We had soups and the broth passed our acid test. Two thumbs up. Green onion cake was good but a touch greasy. Restaurant was clean and pleasant. The service was superb. Attentive and genuinely friendly. About to celebrate their two year anniversary and their staying power is deserved.

I had heard raving reviews about this place so I decided to give it a shot. So today, my family and I had decided to give this place a shot we had ordered the P2, Phở dac biet and a couple of the group had ordered bun Bo hue. They use the same broth as phở with some shrimp paste for the bun bo hue which was nothing like bun bo hue. The broth didn’t taste like real phở, it tasted like chicken stock with lots of MSG and little to no meat. I’ve been to much better places in the city that are a bit cheaper but this was by far the worst place to eat at. This was definitely not worth $ 10.50 a bowl. The service was good, both girls were very friendly. However, we will never come back here again.

Good place, food and people. The food was yummy, I ordered the combo #3 and I added fried rice. It’s a lot of food or a good price. I totally recommend this place for my friends.

This place was ok. I would have liked to give it 2 ½ stars, but I had to choose. The girlfriend and I stopped in today to try it out due to the reviews instead of going to our normal Vietnamese restaurant of choice. Unfortunately we both do not agree with the stunning reviews listed here. I will give the place one thing, the service is great. And this is also the only reason I left a tip at all. That and because not leaving a tip is a douche move anyways. So the food; We ordered the spring rolls and the green onion cakes for apps. The spring rolls were actually very good, although small, but still very tasty. The fish sauce they serve here is totally different from what I’m used to in a Vietnamese place. Most other places at least have some strings of pickled carrots in them but this was just plain sweetened fish sauce. Although the spring rolls came with shredded lettuce and strings of pickled carrots on the plate. Different but not bad. The green onion cakes however left a bit to be desired. Although not horrible, they were over crispy on the outside and oily and not that flavorful. I’m used to a nice crispy outside with a soft fluffy inside with lots of green onion and a nice gentle sweet after taste. Not quite the same here and would not order them again. For the mains I ordered the chicken breast noodle soup and she ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli. Now as for my meal, the menu specifies chicken«breast». Just thought to mention that as I got almost all dark thigh meat with a few small strips of breast meat and considering it was submerged in a soup you’d think it was soft and juicy. Well maybe last month it was but what I got was like dried shoe leather. I took out all of the chicken meat and left it on the plate so maybe they would notice when clearing the table. And the broth wasn’t the worst thing ever, but it was more salty than chicken flavoured. Not my favorite. They did bring out the customary bean sprouts and fresh basil, but the basil was already browning and limp. Well some of it at least. The girlfriends grilled chicken vermicelli was actually the star of the meal, but the fish sauce was again kind of bland and uneventful. Her grilled chicken however was amazing. She was kind enough to split her chicken with me after tasting the jerky in my bowl. This chicken was nice and grilled with a beautiful sweet tasting marinade on it. But again this was the only thing she really enjoyed. I tasted her dish with everything in it together and it wasn’t super impressive. Sorry for the long review but I thought it was important to be completely honest in the experience as there was some good points. All in all, I would rather recommend Thanh Da at 1292497 Street over this place any day, as I’m sticking to our regular place. They say you can tell if the food is authentic by how many locals from the culture dine there. Well here, we were the only table in the place and only at the end of the meal did another 2 tables walk in. Just an observation. Our regular place is always packed with locals any time of the day I’ve been there. But as always, I say try it yourself for you will be able to judge for yourself better than any other persons review.

Very clean, friendly, and welcoming restaurant. seemed to have a ton of choices. I ordered lemon grass beef vermicelli bowl, very good my only wish is that there was some of the lemon grass sauce atop the vegetables and noodles. Their spicy special phở was very spicy and very good if you like spice(which we do. We would return in future if in area.

Let’s be clear — the place was clean, the staff were super friendly, and it had a great atmosphere. However the soup(satay) seemed like it was out of a pre-mixed can. For some reason it just didn’t seem authentic for some reason. My wife and I visit a lot of Vietnamese places, and we also felt that way about the peanut sauce for the chicken salad rolls. Now the positive! Fresh, hot, large portions available, lots of noodles, beef was super fresh and everything was spot on. Salad rolls were made to order, the meat was still hot. Long story short, it was good, but if your looking for a real authentic phở bowl you may find this place just slightly off. However, that’s just my take; I suggest you try it for yourself!

The grilled meats have a wonderful caramelization and crunch to the edges. My base order to gauge how much I like a Vietnamese restaurant is grilled pork and spring rolls. This place was the best I have ever had. I love that it’s a family run business and Mom does the cooking.

Absolutely amazing! Went here for the first time today and I was very impressed. The restaurant was clean and spacious. It was not very busy but the staff was attentive without hovering which I appreciate. Quality of the food was excellent, I had a vermicelli noodle bowl with prawns, pork and egg rolls and it did not disappoint. Portion size was excellent for the price. I will definitely return.

Really good food and service. There were things on their menu I had never seen at any other Vietnamese restaurants. When we asked our server about them, she explained the items and told us that her mom makes everything so there may be some unusual dishes that are not standard menu items. I forget what it was called — but it was some kind of beef wrapped in a green leaf. So good — I better go get some more.

Brand new noodle house on 118 Ave. I saw the sign go up and construction begin a few months ago and I was excited to check it out. It’s bright and spacious on the inside — none of this tables too close together business. Décor is minimal and pleasant. Our waitresses were very nice, friendly and professional. There are quite a few dishes to choose from — soups, bowls, etc. I had a classic phở and it was fantastic! Very flavourful, rich broth and so many noodles! Can’t remember the price but it was around $ 9. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced. As we walked out the man I assume is the owner greeted us and he seemed to be a really nice guy, too. Will definitely return. * DEBITANDCASHONLY *

Heard good things about this new noodle house, so we went there for lunch to check it out. Very nice, modern and clean inside. Welcoming décor. I decided on the well-priced Combo #1, which was wonton soup, followed by a plate with two spring rolls, grilled chicken and beef and your choice of rice or vermicelli. I went for the vermicelli. The wonton soup was flavourful and the wontons were on the smaller side and but plentiful. I actually liked that they were smaller as they were easier to eat. While I was eating the rest, I spent the entire time trying to decide if I liked the chicken or beef better. Both were cooked to perfection and the beef… I guess that’s what people mean when they say ‘melt in your mouth.’ It was reasonable too, just $ 12.99 for the combo. Service was good as well. Tea was brought to our table right when we sat down and everyone was very friendly. Note that they don’t take credit cards — just cash or debit.
