I really enjoyed my visit to The Bone & Biscuit today! I wanted to give my sphynx some raw food to try because he has developed a urinary problem from being dehydrated. I’m not really interested in making the raw food myself, so I needed a store that sold raw foods. Samantha was very helpful finding me some raw food to try that would be good for my cat. King seems to like it and I am looking forward to incorporating it into his diet. She also threw in some samples of other kitty foods that she thought King would like.
There were also two dogs who were enjoying their day at work which was so cute!

Yes, this is a franchise but the owners of this location are lovely women. They have always been remarkably friendly and helpful when we visit their store.
They are the only store in Edmonton that we have been able to find Halo brand pet food (one of the top recommended compassionate pet food brands). They stock specifically what we need and when we buy it, they order another bag.
Our dogs love the food and we are more comfortable feeding them a wild bird based food that’s a bit more expensive than feeding them cheap big farm food.
We travel all the way from Pleasantview every other week just to go to this location.

This Bone and Biscuit is one location among the dozens of franchised stores that have opened up across Canada in recent years. While striving to offer high-​quality (which often translates to high-​priced) toys and treats (as well as food and accessories), they are not quite the «Mom and Pop» store I was expecting when I very first went in. Most noticeable about this is that none of the dog cookies are baked on site — or even in the city.
That said, our pups have enjoyed more than one of these beautifully decorated treats and they both wear tags which were special ordered through this store.
While we buy Kirkland (Costco) brand dog food, and normally shop the larger selection at PetSmart for toys and accessories, The Bone and Biscuit continues to see our business for special occasion treats for our furry friends.

I love going here for food and goodies for my two cats. The prices are great for high quality pet foods and treats and you’ll find quirky toys and accessories for every occasion. The staff is always helpful, and I love that some of them foster dogs with them in the store! It’s great to see businesses giving back in such a real way. I also like the huge display case of hand baked dog treats. They look yummy enough to eat! I wish they would do something similar for kitties. And, the fact that they carry a variety of raw food is fantastic. It’s hard to come by for those of us that want to feed a little more naturally now and again. My only complaint is that I wish they opened before eleven on weekdays so I could scoot in to pick up food on my way to work. I was there at 1030 the other day, and couldn’t wait around the extra thirty minutes. Other than that, this is one of my favourite pet shops in town!
