We specialize in pain relief and body detoxification services. Our therapists are all graduates of 2200 hour programs and we do high quality therapeutic massage & deep tissue work. We also do relaxation massage & hot stone massage. Additionally we have an acupuncturist who does laser therapy as well. We do infrared inch-​loss detox body wraps, have an infrared sauna and an ion foot cleanse treatment. We direct bill to many insurance companies for massage and acupuncture. We carry VISI products including Trimma & Vinnle for weight loss. We look forward to meeting your wellness needs!

History

Established in 2005.

Lara started the Self Centre in 2005 after working at a few spas and massage clinics and she wanted to create something different. This is a spa ‘fusion’. High quality therapy combined with high quality products, heated massage tables, complimentary mint oil application in a soothing spa-​like environment. We are currently at Whitemud Crossing in Edmonton and moved here over 2 years ago after being on 75^th Street for many years. We have grown from one massage therapist to 12, plus an acupuncturist! We are always on the lookout for the best RMTs in town.

he Self Centre Massage & Float Spa in Edmonton was founded in 2005 by Lara Clement, a Registered Massage Therapist & holistic practitioner. Lara worked in a couple spas and massage therapy clinics and while she loved the work she did, she wanted to create something different — a different atmosphere and better calibre of service. The Self Centre Massage & Float Spa is known for providing high quality, reasonably priced services and a ‘spa fusion’ relaxing environment. Not too «Floofy» and overpriced like many spas and not overly sterile like some clinics. We only hire highly trained therapists who graduate from a 2200 hour massage therapy program. We also love to take on 2^nd year practicum students at times, and help them become the best. We focus on wellness, healing & balance in a calm and soothing environment. We have evolved from just offering massage therapy to now also offering float therapy and acupuncture/​acupressure.
