If you paid $ 20 to get into this event or drove out of your way to get here, I think you would be really disappointed. Not many vendors and very little samples to try. Plus things sold here are not that cheap too. They need to make it more fun, bring more interactive games like free baking classes, decorate your own cupcakes or something. Also, have vendors give out more samples and candy/chocolate. I am giving them 2 stars because I went with a friend and didn’t have to pay entry. Only stayed 1 hour then left for bubble tea. Lol.

This was my first baking and sweets show. It was $ 20 per person to get into the show and I have to say it was totally not worth it. The show was very small and were able to go trough it in half hour or less. Not too many deals. The best part of the show was seeing the Unilocal booth.

Location: Etobicoke Event This review is a little late– but this year the Canadian Baking and Sweets show was amazing. Totally impressed by everything from the venue to the organization. It was definitely bigger and better than before. What made it extra wonderful on top of all the yummy mouth drooling desserts, there were food trucks outside!!! Omg I was dying of happiness all day. Wasn’t it bad enough there was desserts? Apparently not, because they had food trucks as well! Verdict: A+

Came here on the last day of the Event with the Lovely Sara KP, Elvis, Jen K, Tony and his awesome friend. It was super duper packed with lots of vendors, and lots of visitors. There was tons of free samples *mmm shortbread/cookies/cupcakes/chocolates) It was a sugary sweet time! My fav was the Liqour Lounge…1 dollar promo shots… magic.

Hmm maybe I am alone in thinking but this show was a complete joke and felt like a bad tooth ache. Not only there is a cover charge to get in one has to pay to try out the wares there. Now if it was held as a part of festival of sorts I wouldn’t complain but to drive all the way out there only to see stuff that one can get from stores isn’t logical for me. So here goes after you have gotten over your sugar rush the show comprised of various booths by some local shops, some gadgets to meet your baking/cooking needs and some cooking shows. Surprisingly I didn’t see any of the advertised celebrity chefs. So all said and done I would spend 30 – 45 min at this show. Special mention is the lounge where drinks could be had for a nominal fee which was cool otherwise I would avoid this show in the future.

The Baking Show is just too sweet! Tons of vendors giving out free samples, made me go on sugar high and just could not concentrate. A lot of free demo in the main stage and even in individual booths, great if you enjoy baking. The free grab bags seems to be the hottest item .why I have to fight with people in order to get one? The $ 1 shots at the lounge made me a happy camper!!! I had 7 of those and go home happy… .
