Legal loan sharks that make it impossible to get out of their contracts early. Our current car is financed at 25% ($ 16,000 car that we’re paying $ 27,000 for). We had newly arrived in Ontario and couldn’t start work until we had a vehicle. We were told we could refinance after a year of on-​time payments. What they didn’t say was that, that meant we had to trade-​in for a newer, and more expensive car, for a longer term. We can’t even sell the car, because they’re the lien holders. This company takes advantage of people like us (with little credit history). Stay away from them at all costs.
