I wanted to get a facial done so I walked in to see if I could get an appointment. No one was in the spa but finally some lady came out, while texting and staring at her cell phone. I asked and she said the person who takes care of facials is not in yet. She suggested for me to leave my name and number so that when the lady does come in, they’d call as soon as she starts her shift. Half the day went by and no call. So I called. No answer. I got a call a week and a half later, to which I told them what had happened and that I’d already brought my business else where. If you say someone will call, you better call… No apology or anything… And the spa was empty so I doubt it was busy!

I had a Vitamin C facial for 1h done at this Spa. Booking was hard like the others mention before, but I managed to get them to call me back after leaving 3 messages in 3 days. The estetician was very friendly and professional. The place looks well kept and inviting. The massage at the end was relaxing. At the end I got another coupon for $ 35…will be back!

Terrible customer service!!! I bought a deal on GroupOn for a 60 min facial at Glo Spa. Booking an appointment was very difficult as no one answered whenever I called during business hours. I was finally able to book an appointment for 6pm and I told the girl on the phone that I finish work at 5 and might not make it on time. On the day of the appointment I arrived 10 minutes late as I was stunned to find out that they had booked another person for the same time and would not see me. I had just travelled 1 hour from the downtown core to be turned away and was very disappointed. The girl at the front desk was not sorry that they had wasted my time and even said «you people who buy deals must come on time» I felt that she was generalizing me into a category because I was paying lower price through the deal site. Instead of offering to book another appointment to she said I should contact GroupOn to get my money back if I don’t like their attitudes. DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA! They are always empty and I never see any clients in the waiting area. They clearly have no ongoing clients and that is why there are offering cheap deals in order to get the business.

Tried this place a couple of years ago and I was not impressed but there was a Groupon offer earlier this year and I decided to give it another try. I live close by and. how could I not try $ 189 worth of mani/pedi’s for $ 79 for 3 sessions.
Glo Spa on The Queensway claim they are a ‘home away from home’, ‘focus is highest level of quality for our customers’, ‘results oriented’, ‘leave our spa feeling wonderful’. In my opinion they deliver on none of the above.
First issue — I could not make an appointment. They never answer the phone — they don’t respond to the voice mails or emails I sent. They have this Wayspa appt service that they also don’t respond to. I called Groupon to cancel but they promised Glo would call us back and if they didn’t we could refund. Of course they called us back but they didn’t have one Saturday appointment available for the rest of the year?
First appointment was ok — but a pretty quick mani/​pedi in under an hour. Mani didn’t last more than 2 days and pedi didn’t last as long as the other place I go to which I love and is cheaper.
Second appointment was at 6pm and they close at 7pm? Mmmm — another ‘rush mani/​pedi’ — I was also sorta scolded for not bringing my own flip flops because they didn’t have any. It was winter at this point — how was I supposed to know this self –proclaimed home away from home wouldn’t have anything for me to wear on my feet to let the pedi dry. I had to walk to the mani station in bare feet and call my fiancé to bring me my flip flops. Pedi was basically a nail painting. The esthetician also made a point of saying that my nail polish had glitter and it takes longer to remove. I wanted to wear a darker colour but she kept saying — you can choose whatever you like but lighter dries faster. I started to realize now that’s because they wanted to get home and that being on Groupon — I was getting the bargain basement treatment. I felt so rushed that my mani lasted 5 minutes. I tried not to smudge but hard not to when it was still wet when I left. The ladies were in their coats — standing at the door waiting to go — not exactly feeling their focus was my customer care.
Last appointment — again, in the evening at 5:30. Big accident on the Gardener — I was late, arriving at 5:50pm and as soon as I walked in -‘We have to leave for a funeral but we can still get you done’??? Wow — ‘get me done’. how results oriented, sure made me feel wonderful. I asked why they didn’t call me to reschedule — they didn’t really respond. I said forget it. I hate wasting money but it was not worth me taking of my socks off for another substandard mani/​pedi — that doesn’t last and in a spa where I felt I was ‘someone they had to get done’ quickly.
Even after voicing my displeasure at my overall expereinece — all they said was ’ oh well — we can’t make you happy’. I work in advertising, as an account director and I understand customer service and these ladies know nothing about customer service.
For any ladies out there looking for a good place to get a mani/​pedi and be treated as you would expect — try Aqua Spa at Dixie Mall — just beside Tim Horton. It’s awesome — clean and they understand how important a customer is.

Just got a facial today and it was excellent! I was a little worried since there were some bad reviews on the internet about this place. However, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my visit. The woman who did my facial was named Rose and she was very professional, nice, and friendly!
I also had an online voucher for the facial however not only did Rose not mind that I had it, she even gave me her business card and told me I could get the same deal/​price on the facial through them! (Vitamin C facial is normally $ 100 but I can get it for $ 35 just like the groupon deal).
Overall, it was a good experience!
