It has been renovated and now called 6th Street. I saw it on Restaurant Takeover so best of luck to the business!

I wandered into the Shamrock for the first time a couple of years back when the BBQ place next door was too packed to sit. The place seems old but well worn with a large bar, some couches, and adequate seating. The place stays fairly quiet during week days which is a bonus because the food is excellent. Don’t worry about looking at the menu… just ask for a list of the daily specials. Expect simple but fresh selections of pub fare. Soccer fans will feel right at home as well with a large selection of paraphernalia decorating the walls and several well seasoned TV’s showing games. Mick, the daytime bartender, is a local who is well informed on the area and always ready to talk sports. If the game you are looking for isn’t on then Mick can usually tell you where to find it. The pub’s character is matched by the character of the patrons who tend to be friendly and all seem to know each other. If you want to get away from generic deep fried pub fare then this is the place. My recommendation for a fresh, quick lunch is the Cajun chicken wrap.
