I love this place! It is quaint, clean and authentic. The owner is Italian and she knows how to make your experience wonderful. I cannot say enough about the food quality. Their seafood chowder is exceptional and they are known for it. Everything else on the menu is comfort food at its best! The lighting and ambiance is great for a first date… or a place where you want to take your partner. Fort Langley has become a tourist destination for locals, so check out The Lamplighter for your next night out. Stef

Rustic food from the French Alps. Great tasting and great prices. I love the fact that all of the main courses are listed as $ 20 but then they indicate if one is $ 2 less or $ 3 more. Staff are friendly and efficient. They were also able to accommodate our large party expanding by two people on a busy Saturday night.

Just had dinner and was very much impressed. Each of us had something different and all were excellent. I had snapper with scallops, wife had salmon and cousin had steak. Full dinner for $ 19.95…unheard-of. Dessert was bread pudding, chocolate torte and port. My new favorite restaurant in Ft. Langley. Wait staff friendly, courteous and attentive.

The food here is decent but my issue is more about the nitpicking way that they charge for things that most restaurants simply provide for no charge. Specifically, my wife and I try to keep our starch intake to a minimum and generally ask to swap out the starch for extra veggies. The Lampliter charges extra for this major inconvenience. I’m not sure if it is because the chef has to actually think about what he is putting on the plate. But whatever the reason, I’m not going back. We would probably be regular customers here but I have taken my business across the street to Beatniks Bistro.

Such a delightful little place on the main street of Fort Langley. Everything homemade and the soup is delicious. Perfect stop with family and friends. Noone rushes you :)

Had their famous ‘Bebbies for brunch. They were pretty good but the portions were a bit small & could’ve been warmer… I’d give them another try

This place is awesome. The food was great and our waitress was so nice. I order the spaghettini with shrimp and scallops and it was delicious. My kids got grilled cheeses which were not on the menu but they gladly made them for us. I found the portion size to be perfect and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be going back to this place when visiting Fort Langley.

Cozy little place on the strip in Fort Langley. We where seated pretty quickly, I ordered the beef medallions and the soup of the day. It wasn’t until after I left, that I realized that I never received my soup: p. The food was good but the portions were very small.

Dropped in here for lunch only because the place across the street was getting slammed and are we glad we did! Menu was very inspired and contrary to what some have said, it is definitely NOT expensive. I had the lunch special of spaghettini with chicken in a cream sauce($ 12). My wife had the crispy duck salad($ 12). We were both wowed by our choices. Everything was just right. The temperature, the taste, the presentation and the service. A half litre of wine for $ 15 brought the total to $ 44 with tax. Looking forward to going back for the lamb shank!

A first rate dining experience! My wife and I had their mussels, mine with the Italian preparation and my wife chose the French version. Both were delectable and I highly recommend either preparation. I also had the oso buco which was absolutely perfect and a very generous portion. My wife had a «fabulous» duck, and again the portion was noticeably generous. The staff was very busy with a full house but still friendly and engaging. The capstone of the evening was a delightful maple bread pudding that may have been the best version of that dish that I’ve ever had. Overall it was a fine presentation of delicious food. A memorable meal indeed and an establishment I would highly recommend.

I love the Eggs Benny here so much that I will actually call ahead to reserve my Hollandaise so I am not disappointed when I arrive!!! Yes, it’s that good! The best weekend treat ever! Everything I have tried here is very tasty(I love the lamb!!!) — I appreciate all the homemade flavours — no pre-packaged entrees here! A great place to bring friends and family to, or even a date — you can tuck yourselves into the cozy window nook and while away the time… I just wish I could come here on Mondays, too, I love this place that much!!!

I must have walked past this place a million times but for some reason I didn’t walk in until a few months ago. My wife and I had a dinner here, and the food was great. I had giant mussels and white wine(forgot which though — I’m not a big fan of white, but it did go well with the meal). One thing that did strike me was how personable the server was. The service went beyond the usual«is everything all right», and we ended up having a nice little chat about the development and the changes in Fort Langley since the closure of the Albion Ferry. Will definitely come back again

Booked for a Sat night for a party of 6. Arrived early and table was already set and available. Service is excellent — very well done — attentive but no annoying constant interruptions to make small talk.(I go to dinner to talk to my friends/family not waitresses/staff). This alone earned the tip. Ambience– Could be described as relaxing, private, quiet, intimate and romantic. No loud music or squawking kids running around. Wine/beer — Good selection(if a little pricey). Food — WOW where to begin?! Starters were served in a timely manner and all were excellent(French Mussle’s are a must). Mains ordered by our party– Steak, Salmon, Lamb shank, Snapper — all were excellent. Perfectly cooked. Succulent is the best way to describe all the meals! We brought in a birthday cake and the staff served this expertly.($ 1.95 charge per person when bringing your own cake). This is without a shadow of a doubt the BEST restaurant experience I have had in the Fraser valley.

A little out of date but very good service, very good food. My main issue with this place is the menu seems very boring. Everything looked good, but nothing jumped off. The kind of place you’d take your grandparents for dinner, not a date.

Wow… I really can’t think of a single thing to say about this place that’s not positive. Fantastic and attentive service without being intrusive, cosy inviting atmosphere and fantastic food. I had the AAA beef brisket and it was so tender you could cut it with a firm look. Great date night place.

The Lamplighter in Fort Langley is the labour of love of an eccentric couple. It doubles as a photo and art gallery. They have fabulous but limited lunch and dinner selections. Fine dining on mismatched furniture in a tiny little place makes for a cool and unique experience. As last check, their Tiramisu is home made, and rivals the best anywhere. Reservations for evening meals recommended because they have maybe 20 tables in two rooms of an old house. The wine selection is good, and the food is very high quality, the pricing is mid range. Test your chair before you sit on it, most of them have a lean to them. Great place to impress your out of town friends and to get away from the chain restaurants. Also, wandering around the beautiful village of Fort Langley to build up your appetite for dinner is divine.
