Vite Vite Patate Frites

Sometimes you want a greasy poutine, especially when you work in an office and want to get outside. Fortunately for those who work at Terrasses de la Chaudière we are well catered for with the excellent Vite Vite Patates Frites (it gets a bonus star for a rhyming name).
Now, Vite Vite is not healthy, nor is it classy, but that’s not the point. They make delicious poutine at a good price. I got a BBQ chicken one that had tons of meat, as well as a healthy pile of spices and cheese. The sauce is good, the curds are firm and flavourful and the fries are properly done. Also the service was very friendly and helpful, you get the idea that the people working there were enjoying themselves, which is always a good sign. Due to the rather unhealthy nature of their food I don’t know how regularly I will go there, but on those days when a greasy and unhealthy poutine is what I crave, then it will be vite vite to vite vite patate frites for me!

Working across the street from this pace is a bad thing for me. The owner, Peter, is always super friendly and has been know to throw in extra’s from time to time.

the only thing not good is all the boston bruins crap on the wall, how could you break the hearts of leafs fans everywhere?
i wish the smoked meat poutine came in a small size. the medium is borderline throw up size. but good god it’s so tasty !

Some in the gold-​plated pensioned crowd turn their nose down at this humble, but true-​to-​their-​name quick hole-​in-​the-​wall. Vite Vite Patate Frites is old school food. Fries, yes. Poutine creations, yes. Chicken sandwiches made on pain blanc tosté with real chicken. And friendly, down-​to-​earth servers, who know that the beurre on their pain comes from all those civil servants just across the street. Vite, Vite Patate Frites? Oui, oui, pick me!
