The Barbertowne Pub used to be the best place in town for wing night, bar none. Wings were good and tasty, atmosphere great, fantastic wait staff… and then it all went downhill. The manager at the time lost interest and started to order very cheap products and the quality was reflected in the meals. The chicken wings became the size of turkey legs, very tough with a gamey taste, and some of the meals served were utterly atrocious. They served platters of burnt, utterly scorched, enchiladas for a birthday party on one occasion. Now the pub is under new ownership and things have improved. The interior has had some much needed renovations, but unfortunately the kitchen is still working its way out of the hole the last manager dug the place into. The chicken wings are still turkey legs and the food tends to be hit and miss. Great wait staff and the new owners are super nice and seem to really care about the place, so hopefully after some growing pains this place will return to its former glory. Start ordering food from a better supplier folks.

Wednesday night wing night is a great time to stop in and have a pint. Beer is pretty fairly priced. Not to many spots to sit so get there early if you want a spot. Balcony is small to but is great on a really nice summer day. Pitchers are average to high priced but pint’s were fairly low. There are a lot of TV’s and a pool table and the atmosphere is good, the servers are fast and friendly. All in all a really good local place to grab a beer and maybe some lunch
