I’m not really a fan of prepared meats and foods — always having to squint too hard to look at the ingredient list and look for the ubiquitous MSG(which gives me headaches) In a rush and looking for something to grill on the cottage bbq my friend, the little K, suggested we stop at M & Ms. This small, very clean store has a few self-serve freezers but most of the food is behind a counter where the friendly salesperson takes your order and picks it out from a wall of glass front freezers. The weekly flyer is a great help as a point of reference because it’s hard to browse the selections. They even gave us a free MAX card which will give us exclusive savings, events and offers. Checking their website, I discovered that the nutrition label for each product is available online as well as a nutrition and allergen search. We chose chicken and pork kabobs for our selection, happily devoid of MSG. They were very tasty. If you do have this food sensitivity, look carefully, because many of their products from soups, to prepared single servings and some meats, contain MSG.
