Hands down best place for coffee, breakfast and lunch on the Sunshine Coast We come to Gibsons four or five times a year and it has become a staple for us. The breakfast sandwich is insane.

Great little café off the«center» intersection of Gibson’s Landing. Their latte was great and their bread pudding? It was moist and great! Definitely a great spot to enjoy the area and take in the view and the sunshine.

This place has really good coffee. Its has a really nice taste to it. I am not a coffee drinker but I personally liked it. I was told the owner roast their coffee at the back. The décor is quite interesting. As well, when you are there, you have to try their muffins. I loved their muffins the most. Yummy. Very friendly service.

Delicious coffee, as it should be, since they roast their own beans. They also seem to roast their own turkeys for the turkey sandwiches they sell here. My brother-in-law was very impressed by the taste and the moistness of the turkey in his sandwich. It looked damn delicious. I had the … brie sandwich, I think. Whatever it was, it was also delicious. For those who like to sit outside and eat(like me), they have a nice little patio area that’s perfect for parents with strollers. The inside restaurant is a little on the squished side so it was a nice alternative, especially on such a beautiful day. Definitely will come again.

Note this review is about the Sechelt location. We chose to live captive here on the Sunshine Coast, so we can’t complain about that. But the number of eateries is growing, we have more choice so businesses can’t stop making a consistent effort. I’d never been here before so popped in for a late lunch — the soup of the day, a pesto veggie; I could duplicate with a can of watered down spaghetti sauce, and a coupla pieces of chopped celery — what veggies? — was inedible. The egg sandwich was basic-way too much mayo-both cost almost $ 15 bucks… I would have brought the soup back but the door was promptly locked behind me as I went to sit at the patio(I was going back for a glass of water — oh well). Several customers came to try the door and were surprised at the closure. The service was friendly but I have no reason to return.

The Black Bean Café offers very good coffee either take out or dine in. Amazing pastries and other baked goods. Its a great place for very good sandwiches to enjoy on the patio or in the fairly intimate dining room.

I have Bean-dar! I homed in on this corner café as we were driving in for lunch. I was impressed that this is not just a great spot to grab a java, but it’s also a local Roastery! –With a porch none-the-less and I think you know what kind of view a café in this location would have to offer. New this year, The Black Bean café also offers light lunch. Cute spot, and yet undiscovered ! –well, except by me, expert café spotter ;-)
