I have been to Cora but different locations(ones in Montréal mostly), so I was expecting similar or even the same menu here. There is a lot to chose from the menu for sure. I was craving for something sweet, fruity to start my Saturday! And it is conveniently located in Guelph near the campus. Although the place is quite spacious, expect to line up on weekend mornings. Friendly and fast service, typical«Cora» atmosphere. I got a waffle topped with fruits and whipped cream. It was BIG! I definitely got my fix for something sweet and fruity. Fruits were very fresh and waffle was fluffy. Overall, I had nothing to complain about and my belly was content: P I would go back when I crave for Cora style breakfast!

Ordered the raspberries for Lucy. Would definitely not recommend. Extremely sour, and it’s very plain, just raspberries in a crêpe. Nothing special. Maybe I just ordered the wrong item on the menu but I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

We had breakfast at Cora’s a couple of weeks ago and our experience wasn’t terrible. The staff is friendly and were clearly comfortable with the menu, but unfortunately the staff is the only real saving grace of this place. I actually bumped this review up a star because our server was so nice. The restaurant was pretty empty for what is otherwise a pretty busy time. It seems like Guelph has so many great breakfast spots that this one might just not be able to compete. The food was okay, but definitely not great. The menu is fairly standard, with a few dishes that seem like they could be interesting — but overall our breakfast was pretty bland and forgettable. If your second-favorite grandma comes to town, Cora’s is a great place to go for some well-cooked eggs and plain toast. Otherwise, it’s hard for us to think of a reason to spend $ 30 here again.

My friend and I have been doing breakfasts all around the tri-cities for months now, and had somehow missed Cora’s until recently. We finally stopped in and got breakfast, only to be completely underwhelmed by the experience. The atmosphere and wait staff are wonderful. The two of us has a great big booth all to ourselves and we loved the decorations in the place. However, the most important component to any restaurant — the food — was horrible. I got a breakfast burrito that had hot dogs in it, and the dogs tasted horrible. The cheese was very clearly processed and melted, and it was so unevenly distributed that I ended up opening the«burrito» and fixing it up myself. My friend got pancakes, which looked absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu, and, according to her, didn’t taste all that great either. It is one thing to embellish a little when advertising food on a menu, but if the product being served is nothing like the expectation, of course people are going to feel let down and unimpressed! It is also worth it to note that there are MANY other breakfast places in the area that are a lot more fairly priced and will not disappoint like Cora’s did for us. The prices are also on the high end, so you’re better off spending less and getting more somewhere else. We both left feeling hungry.

Extensive menu, fair prices, decent service and tasty food. Other than finding a bug in my food once I’ve had a good experience with this restaurant. Wonderful family atmosphere!

Waited a long time to come back to Cora’s! Paulette our waitress was amazing and so sweet! My food was incredible and so fresh. She met all my strange food requests with kindness and a lovely smile! And the food was delicious and well displayed. :-) coming back again I was not disappointed!

This is a superb alternative to the hotel breakfast. They have some lovely crepes with many filling choices. I had the oatmeal once too, and found it nice and filling. Bonus: I lowered my cholesterol so much by eating the oatmeal I had to dine at Buffalo Wild Wings to get it back up that evening.

not to be strict on Cora’s, but I thought 3 stars is straight forward. Not the best, it’s still good. I’d go back again.

Having had Cora recommended to both of us by multiple people, HG and I decided to check it out for breakfast(one of our favorite meals out). It was a cold, snowy morning with a parking lot full of half-frozen salted slush and people puffing like steam engines, running for shelter… and the line for Cora extended out the doors.(Hey, we waited until the restaurant wasn’t a new phenomenon, anymore!) But after the initial disappointment, I noticed that the line moved very, very quickly — so don’t let the size of the line deter you from coming in. The inside of Cora is a little like Disney’s It’s a Small World, but with a food theme instead of scary shrill little stereotyped pygmy children. Colorful cartoon foodstuffs adorn the walls, and the paint colors alone are enough to wake one up(and make one reach for sunglasses). Upon entering the restaurant proper, one is greeted with a giant mound of fresh fruit, which is both inviting and a fairly accurate prediction of what one’s plate will eventually look like. Everything is served with fruit! Gobs and gobs of ripe fresh fruit — don’t ask me how they do it, because this is not representative of what’s in the supermarkets! The breakfast menu is extensive — I mean seriously extensive — and everything on the menu looks delicious. Enter, the Baskin-Robbins dilemma: you’re hungry, and there are so many delicious choices that you freeze like a deer in the headlights and can’t make up your mind. Starving as we were, I think we asked the waitress for more time twice. I ended up getting a ham and cheese grilled crêpe(crêpe + panini sandwich press = delicious, melty and crispy), with a humongous pile of fruit. I skipped the fresh fruit smoothies, even though they looked fabulous. HG got a potato-egg mess that he wolfed down like it was his last meal(I couldn’t get more than happy grunts of enjoyment out of him). It was all delicious. The waitress was efficient, friendly without being too present, and the breakfast showed up shockingly fast(and steaming hot), given how busy the place was. The price was even reasonable. AND I stayed within my calorie budget. How nice is that? I have a sneaking suspicion this place is single-handedly going to save a bunch of college students from malnutrition.

When i heard that Guelph was getting a Cora’s i was excited. Even though i have had very inconsistent dining experiences at this breakfast franchise, i was optimistic. Most times when i go for breakfast i just get the standard two eggs and bacon with toast and home fries. It is reasonably priced at about $ 6, and you are served quite a bit of food. One main reason i continue to go to Cora’ s is that they use real potatoes and they cook them on a flat top. Most places now use bagged frozen potatoes and throw them in the fryer. The bacon was cooked well, there was still a good level of fat remaining, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Overall it was a great dining experience. i went during the week. When i have had issues it has been on weekend service, so one tip i would give is to go through the week.

Had lunch there on Sunday for the first time. The service was good but the food was merely ok. For breakfast/brunch I found the prices to be high, especially compared to the other breakfast places in Guelph. Angel’s has decent food at very cheap prices, and even Eggcetera is slightly cheaper for better food.
